Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Corrosion-Resistant Finish
The steel wheel goes through a 3-step finishing process that makes it both attractive and corrosion resistant. The wheel is first submerged in a zinc phosphate bath to ensure good paint adhesion. It is then e-coated with an acrylic primer base and the outboard side is finished with baked-on DuPont powder paint. The light e-coat on the inboard side of the wheel reduces friction between the wheel and your hub and eliminates the flaking that can occur with a heavily applied paint finish.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Provider ST 205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range C mounted on this 15 inch silver modular trailer wheel with the 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers and even campers. Has the steel wheel with a modular design. When we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. It's very sturdy and rust-resistant wheel.
The wheel does go through a 3-step finishing process, which you include a zinc phosphate pre-treatment, then an e-coat primer and then a silver powder coat finish. The wheel does have excellent corrosion resistance with a Salt Spray Rating of more than a thousand hours. And this wheel also uses the ITR technology, which stands for Improved Torque Retention. It's designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer. And the way they do that, let me just zoom in to show you, but around the stud holes here, where your lug nuts go, they actually uncoat those stud holes, and then they're beveled to give you better clamp force retention.
Now, the tire that's mounted on this is a radial tire, it is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords. It's great for highway use and they do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay around the tire to help prevent tread separation. Now, this Provider tire, if you look at the tread design, I'm gonna zoom in to show you that. It does use an automotive grade tread, which means it has the sipes and the sipes are those little cuts in the tread blocks that you see. And what that does is that'll break up the water underneath the tire and help improve the traction during wet, snowy or icy conditions.
Now, this is an ST tire, stands for Special Trailer, has the sturdy sidewalls so that it can handle heavy loads. And it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on any other vehicles. This does come with a 2-year Platinum Plus Warranty, which will include emergency tire change service and other benefits. And this assembly does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation standards and exceed your Federal Motor Vehicle Safety standards.
A few specs on this, we're gonna start with the wheel, the diameter of the wheel measure 15 inches, the width on just the wheel is going to be right at 5 inches wide. And the bolt pattern on this wheel is a 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern. If you want to measure that on a wheel, that's an odd number of lugs like in this case, 5. What you'll do is just pick any hole. Let's say this hole right here, and then your measure from the center of that hole directly across to either one of these holes. And when you measure it, you'll measure from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of whichever hole you measure to. So on this wheel, it'll measure 5 inches. So that'll tell you this has a 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern. Wheel lug size they use on this as a half inch by 20, the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,160 pounds. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, goes over the hub on your trailer. Diameter of this opening is 3.19 inches. Now the tire size will be stamped on the sidewall, ST for Special Trailer, 205/75R15. The R stands for Radial tire. It does have a section width of 8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated it's 27.1 inches. And this tire is a load range C, which means it's a 6 ply rated tire, has a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI. And the last thing I want to go over is most all the new trailer tires are now coming through with a speed rating stamped on them, and they designate that on the sidewall of the tire by a letter designation. And where you'll find that is right after the tire size, we just went over, you'll see 2 numbers for the load index, and then the letter M at the end there. That speed rating M will mean 81 mile per hour Speed Rating. But that should do it for the review on this Provider ST 205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire in a load range C mounted on this 15 inch silver modular trailer wheel with the 5 on 5 inch bolt pattern..

Very good price for a trailer tire with actual tread. My Gulfstream Vintage Cruiser stock tires look good but had NO safety margin capacity. So I upgraded to 15" tires n wheels. But one problem is the mounting of the tires on the rims. They were not aligned correctly as received according to the red and yellow "dots" on the tires in relation to the valve stem. I brought it up to my tire place. They repositioned them and then the spin balance was close. Only .75 on one wheel and 1.5 oz on the other wheel.

One wheel was all scratched up at arrival, not real sure being powder coated is worth the extra price if spots are bare metal.
