Platinum Plus Warranty with Roadside Assistance
This tire-and-wheel assembly comes with a Platinum Plus warranty that includes complimentary roadside assistance for 2 years. If your trailer has a flat tire, call the help line and a technician will come change out the flat tire with your existing inflated spare tire. The service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition to the roadside assistance, this warranty also includes other benefits and services.
Durable Acrylic Enamel Finish
This wheel has a durable acrylic enamel finish on the front. The finish is applied after the wheel goes through an environmentally safe zinc phosphate pre-treatment and is coated with an e-coat primer layer. Compared to powder coat finishes, this finish resists getting chipped from flying road debris or scraped from hitting a curb for a longer period of time. These acrylic enamel wheels performed for more than 1,000 hours in salt spray tests.
The automotive-rated center disc is raised and the stud holes are beveled and uncoated for better clamp force retention. This technology helps the wheel stay tight against your hub without the need for constant retightening.
Unlike standard trailer tire tread, which has solid, continuous ribs, the automotive-grade tread on these Provider radials has ribs with breaks. These breaks allow water to run off to the sides. The Provider tread also has sipes. Siping is a process in which thin grooves (or sipes) are cut into the rubber of the tire. The grooves channel water away from the tread so that the tire makes better contact with the road. Both of these features greatly improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions.
Provider radials are constructed with double polyester cords and double steel belts for increased durability and endurance. A protective layer of nylon is wrapped around the steel belts to help prevent tread separation. Provider radials are bake tested - a process usually reserved for automotive tires - to ensure that the rubber holds up over time.
Radial ply tires are designed for trailers that are towed on the highway. The cords on a radial tire are positioned at a 90-degree angle to the direction of travel so that they lay across the width of the tire from wheel lip to wheel lip. This construction prevents the cords from rubbing against one another when the tire flexes, unlike the cords on a bias ply tire. As a result, radial tires have less rolling resistance and heat buildup, which leads to a longer tread life and improved steering at higher speeds.
Determining the Bolt Pattern
The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.
To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: "5 on 4-1/2" means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)
On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: "8 on 6-1/2" means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)
Measuring the distance from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this provider ST205/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C on this 15-inch Vesper Black Modular Steel wheel with the five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. Now this tire wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and campers. I'm going to zoom in just to talk about the wheel. It's a steel wheel, has the modular design.
And when we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. It's very sturdy and rust resistant. The wheel, they do use a three-step finishing process, which will first include a zinc phosphate pretreatment, then an e-coat primer, and then the black acrylic enamel finish on the front of the wheel. This wheel does use the ITR, which is improved torque retention technology designed to help keep the wheel securely in place on your trailer. The uncoated stud holes are beveled to give you better clamp force retention. Now the tire is a radial tire.
It is constructed with double steel belts, double polyester cords for nice long life. It's great for highway use. They do use a nylon tread firming belt overlay to help prevent tread separation. And this tire is inaudible 00:01:11 tested to ensure that the rubber will hold up over time. The tread on it, if you notice, is an automotive grade tread, it has the sipes.
The sipes are the cuts that you see in the tread and these sipes will break up the water underneath the tire and then channel it away from the tire underneath the tire to improve traction during wet, snowy, or icy conditions. The tire is an ST tire, which means special trailer tire, has sturdy sidewalls, so it can handle heavy loads, and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use on any other vehicles. This assembly does come with a two year platinum plus warranty, which includes emergency tire change service, and other benefits. This assembly does meet the DOD department of transportation standards, and it does exceed the federal motor vehicle safety standards.Few specs on this we're going to show you is the rim dimension.
Now, the diameter is 15 inches and that's always measured inside to inside. The width on just the wheel is five inches wide. Bolt pattern on this wheel is five on four and a half inch bolt pattern. And if you want to measure a bolt pattern on a wheel like this, that's an odd number of lugs, five lugs. All you have to do is pick any one of the holes and once you pick whatever hole, and then you'll just measure from the center of that hole directly across to either one of these holes. But when you measure it, it's the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this wheel, it'll measure four and a half inches. So it's a five lug four and a half inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of a half inch by 20. Weight capacity on just the wheel by itself, 2,160 pounds. And the pilot hole diameter, which is the large hole here in the center of the wheel, diameter of that opening is 3.19 inches. Now the tire size, which will be stamped on the sidewall, ST for special trailer, 205/75R15. The R means that it's a radial design tire. Section width, eight inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 27.1. This tire is a load range C, which means it's a six ply rated tire. Has a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI. And the last thing I do want to mention, most all the new trailer tires are now coming through with a speed rating on it. Speed rating always be designated by a letter designation, and where you usually find that is right after the size, there'll be two numbers for the load index, and then the letter M. Speed rating M means this has a speed rating of 81 miles per hour. But that should do it for the review on this provider. ST205/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C on the 15 inch Vesper Black Modular Steel wheel with the five one four and a half inch bolt pattern.
