Great place to buy parts, fast delivery

by:

Everything welded right on like butter, got my parts two days earlier than I expected. I saved this Website to my favorites, so should you

by:

This product was a very good buy for the project, It saved me time and money by using your product rather than making my own which would not have been as good as the ones I bought from you. I will also be buying other parts from you in the future. I think you have a great company with great prices. Thanks,

by:

Excellent, had everything I needed and more for my trailer. Everything fit well!

by:

I bought a axle, springs wheels, hubs etc. to build a utility trailer, I inadvertently had ordered incompatible hubs for the selected axle the person filling the order noticed this and contacted customer service to alert them of the issue who then called me to correct the problem. This saved me the time and expense of returning the part and delaying the project. great service, attentive, knowledgeable employees and great products.
Thanks E trailer.

Fast shipping. Great customer service. Also bought left springs to go with. Worked great on my small boat trailer.

1year and still doing great. Thanks

by:

I ordered replacement leaf springs for my trailer using the instructions provided by etrailer. The correct items were shipped and they fit perfectly! The mounting hardware was exactly what was needed. No extra parts were needed as in run to the local hardware store! The springs went in with no problems.
I would absolutely buy from etrailer again as their customer service was excellent as was the products.

by:

This is a great kit! It included everything we needed to replace the old, worn-out brackets on our 6'x10' trailer. The directions were helpful and the brackets and hardware are nice and solid. We've had zero issues with the leaf springs (purchased on etrailer.com, also) or the brackets. Would definitely recommend!

by:

I haven't installed this yet but it is just what I needed and expected. My old boat trailer need new everything so this does it for me, just some time to weld it on.

Thanks,
Joe

These spring hangers worked great. My boat is back on the road!

I have purchased several items from etrailer and have always been very satisfied with there parts and there service. I have never had the pleasure of talking with any of there reps, because they do such a great job of describing their parts with videos and knowledgeable people it makes the job easy. When you live in a small town you can't just go down town and buy a new set of spring hangers or a new spring, but with the push of a button you can usually find what you need and it is priced fairly.I am a very satisfied customer. keep up the goog work etrailor

by:

Sometimes on older trailers the leaf spring bushings will wear out and the mounting bolts will get wear grooves in them. Its cheap to replace everything play it safe.

Everything fit perfectly.

by:

Items were shipped quickly. All parts were clean ready to weld in place. While my project may have a long way to go, the installation of the springs was quick and easy with springs and the mounting kit from etrailer.

by:

After purchasing an order of springs, shackle kit, U-bolts, bearing kit and a new Pro jack for a trailer repair I discovered a week delay in shipping due to one of the items on back order. (Email the day after I ordered informing me of the delay) A call to Angie K. On that Sunday!!!! And she had an in stock item to replace it and had my order on its way Monday morning , Thank You Angie everything sent was what I ordered and correct. Communication was great and they did what they said they would, Good prices and free shipping on my orderThanks again

Phil, thanks for your business and your review. Since the required U-bolt lengths and diameters vary from axle to axle, the mounting components are sold separately. The U-bolt kits may be found at this link:

Thanks for following up. I used your product on a motorcycle trailer I was building for a trip I made last year. Im extremely impressed with the quality of your product, and also the affordable pricing! I had two Harleys on the trailer with a total worth of about $65,000 and we hauled them from Nevada to Ohio and back with zero issues and your product performed flawlessly. Thanks so much again

by:

Wow, the shackle plates were long, but everything is quality materials. The nuts are locking and bolts are hard. Nuts threaded on without and problems. took a bit till I figured out the after shackle hanger where it said Up was to be against frame before welding. Welded on with easy,no penetration problem what so ever

I haved purchased numerous products from etrailer, no disappointments ever

I am building a new trailer using an axle from my old trailer, this kit fit my needs and price point. Shipping was right on time, not that I was in a hurry.
Thank you etrailer!

High quality mounts. They were welded to the frame and had no problems mounting them. I painted them after welding and should have a lifetime of trouble free service.

  • What Is The Purpose Of Steel band On Leaf Springs
The leaf springs are normally installed with the band forward of the axle, but it is not something that has to be done that way. The steel band is called the rebound clip. Their main purpose is to help keep the main leaf from breaking on a rebound. When the weight of a vehicle or trailer is on the spring, all of the leaves work together to support the spring above them. If the wheel drops for any reason the total weight of the axle falls on the main leaf if there are no rebound clips....

The Trailer Leaf Spring, 2250 lbs. 6 Leaf, item # e27SR, is sold as a replacement spring for older trailers and measures 26 inches for eye to eye, center to center. If you are replacing the springs and hangers you will need to use the same center to center dimension as the original mounting brackets. These springs are designed for a 4,500 pound axle. • Can Unique Leaf Springs be Replaced on a Very Old Trailer
I believe the hubs are for 2,000 or 2,200 pound agricultural axles which is why the springs look so different. These hubs are designed for very low speed applications (5 to 10 miles per hour according to HADCO) so if you plan on going faster than that you will need to look at replacing the axle and hubs. You could use 2 of spring # e66SR. Each spring has a capacity of 1,250 pounds. If a new hanger kit is needed you can use # APS1. When used with spring e66SR the center to center distance...

I do have a few options available for you however, we currently do not sell torsion axles. You have two options to consider for your trailer, the Timbren axle-less suspension and the Dexter straight axles. As you have a gross trailer weight (GTW) of 3,000 lbs. I recommend using a 3,500 lb setup. The Timbren System will provide you with a much easier method for converting from torsion springs in addition to containing fewer components. The part # e77SR that you referenced will be the correct fit if your current leaf springs are 26 inches long from the center of the attachments points (usually known as eye-center-to-eye-center). • Are Bushings for Trailer Suspension Spring Hangers Required
Bushings do not always have to be used. Springs typically have bushings or they will use wet bolts depending on which part of the suspension system it is but not always. The bushings limit the wear on the suspension components. There are just different designs. Kits # APS2 and # APS5 use the same 7/8 inch hangers and it is those hangers that come with the bushings. I have included a link to our help article on double-eye trailer suspension for you.

  • How Tight Should Suspension Shackle Bolts Be Torqued
The shackle bolts used between the springs and hangers do not require a specific torque rating because tightening the shackle bolts too much will squeeze the shackle straps against the leaf springs, and the whole suspension system will bind and cause problems. The best thing to do when tightening down shackle bolts is to use lock nuts, tighten them until they are snug, then back them off 1/4 turn. The lock nuts of the part # APS1 will keep them from backing off.
