I won't shop anywhere else! Excellent customer service. Huge selection. Prompt delivery. Everything I needed for my custom flatbed trailer (single axle,7000#).

by:

Bought this to replace the shackle links and hardware for an existing aluminum trailer, did not use the brackets. Bolt shafts are "flared" on the inside head end so you need a press to push them into the bracket. Otherwise, you need to crank down the nuts as you install them to seat the bolts properly.

by:

Good kit with the necessary parts to replace leaf spring suspension. I welded the hangers rather than bolting them. The parts are not coated for the price point so you will need to paint them or they will rust immediately.

by:

Made a nice little trailer to haul wife’s golf cart!

by:

I have been doing business with etrailer for several years and there deliveries, service and products are the best out there.

by:

A good source for trailer parts. For finding parts, you need to know the specs of the trailer, not necessarily the manufacturer. Thanks etrailer!

by:

I inherited an aluminum trailer that ended up needing a complete overhaul and etrailer was the best resource I could have found. After researching extensively to find out what I needed and watching their videos on how to do it I ended up ordering an EZ-lube axle, galvanized hubs, springs and a hanger kit (in other words everything from the frame down).
Everything shipped quickly and arrived in great shape. All the parts worked perfectly and I couldn't be happier!

by:

Everything was just as I ordered it and it fits like a glove

by:

All businesses should be like etrailer! The gal was so kind and knowledgeable to help my husband get the right leaf spring replacements. We ordered a tire last spring and the same, excellent service and prompt delivery. Thanks so much

by:

Received my parts today and after examining everything all looks good.
The quality of parts looks excellent and can't wait to start installing them.
Shipping was fast and arrived as they said.
Great company to buy with.
Will was very helpful and very knowledgeable about parts.
If you call would definitely ask for Will.

by:

Great product. Exactly what we needed

by:

Product arrived just as described and very quickly. This kit was a great way to drop the springs on our trailer enough for the axle to be put on correctly.

by:

The axle hanger kit arrived today. I have done a dry setup; everything fits as expected.

Thanks for your excellent product and prompt delivery.

Very good product, and Im very satisfied thank you

by:

Product was very good quality. Website was very thorough which made it much more comfortable ordering the proper parts. Fast delivery with updates throughout the process. Good quality service.

by:

The hangers look good and I believe they will do a great job. I need to move my axle back on my trailer so it will be able to haul some weight. It is a dump style body and can't handle weight, only on the front of the trailer. So I am going to move the axle back about 6 to 8 inches. The tracking info on the kit was great... ALL gratitude goes to your company...

It works great. Thanks for making a wonderful product. I give you 5 stars.

by:

I had to email customer service as I bracket was folded incorrectly so that the bolt holes did not line up. Upon recieveing my email, a replacement was on the way! EXCELLENT customer service. Thank you etrailer.

Worked great on my 5x10 utility trailer

  • Parts Needed To Replace Slipper Springs With Double Eye Springs
If your trailer truly has a front and rear bracket for double eye springs you can absolutely use the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 27" Long # SP-210275 you were looking at as a replacement. With that said while the hangers may look alike, they are typically not the same. This spring is designed for 3500lb axles so you will want to make sure that your trailers axle has the same rating. If the spring is rated too high you will get a stiff ride, and if the spring is...

  • Hanger Spacing Dimension for the Leaf Spring SP-210275 on a Trailer
The hanger spacing you will need to use for the # SP-210275 with the # APS4 hanger kit is 25-3/4 inches. One end of the leaf spring will overshoot the hanger and the shackle makes up the difference. This allows both ends of the spring to be at the same or close height and allow the suspension to move like it needs to.

  • Replacement Leaf Springs for Harbor Freight Folding Trailer
The best option we have for you is the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e84SR with the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit part # APS4. This option will replace the leaf springs and leaf spring hanger brackets which is needed because the new double eye leaf springs are 1-3/4" wide and the old slipper springs are 2" wide not to mention the length discrepancy and leaf spring hanger bracket height. The CE Smith U-Bolt Kit for Mounting part # CE23102 or part # CE23103 can then be used to complete...

  • Hanger Placement with 3,500 lb Axle with Hanger Kit part # APS4 On Trailer with Axles Under Springs
Your axles being under the leaf springs will not change the hanger location recommendations listed for the Single Axle Hanger Kit part # APS4. You would want to have the hangers 25-3/4 apart measured on bolt center. However, since your axles are below the springs you would not need to have 5 inches between the center of the axle and the trailer frame.

  • Can Over Under Kit Fit 2 inch Square Axle on Trailer
We have 2 inch square U-bolt kits like part # CE23103 which you could use, but we don't have spring seats for this axle size. So you would have to remove the spring seats on your axle and weld them on the other side and you'd be have an over-under kit that fits your axle. You might have to drill spring seats in the axle.

  • Recommended Replacement for 5,200 Lb Torsion Trailer Axle
I do have replacement options for you but we don't carry torsion axles so the only options we can offer you are axle-less like the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension part # ASR5200S01 or leaf spring axles like the Trailer Axle Beam part # e55GR which has close but not the same dimensions as your existing. The spring seats however can be moved but in order to go this route you'd also need the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs part # APS4 and 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring...

  • Rear Hangers in Trailer Suspension Kit # APS4 Do Not have Bushings
The trailer suspension hanger kit # APS4 does include hangers that do not have bushings like you said. Adding bushing definitely would not hurt if they will fit. The bolts are 9/16 inch which is what the holes in the hangers accept. There likely isn't space for a bushing. The other issue is that there are no bushing we carry that have a 9/16 inch outer diameter (which would then require a smaller bolt). You will want to make sure the hangers without the bushings are well lubricated using...

  • Recommended Hanger Kit for Universal Group 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring e84SR
For a hanger kit that works well with the Universal Group 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e84SR referenced in your question, I recommend the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS4. This kit includes two 3-1/4 inch tall front hangers, two 1-1/4 inch tall rear hangers, four 3-1/8 inch long shackle straps, six shackle bolts and six diameter locknuts. I recommend taking a few measurements on your existing hangers to ensure that these will be a good match.

The Dexter Trailer Idler Axle w/ Hubs - EZ-Lube - 5 on 4-1/2 Bolt Pattern - 60" Long - 2,200 lbs # 20545I-EZ-60-15 is a great starting point to upgrade your trailer. This will give you a standard size axle with good bearings, hubs, and EZ-lube spindles. This is far nicer than the weird sized stuff that comes on Harbor Freight trailers. • Replacement Suspension Parts Needed for a 5 x 10 Homemade Trailer
We do offer a wide variety of shackle straps, like the 2-5/8" long part # 115052, which you can find on the linked page. These don't just fit certain leaf springs lengths though. I think you may be talking about hangers for double eye springs. One of our most popular (from the linked selection) is part # 28-5 which is compatible with 1-3/4" leaf springs and is 3-1/4" tall. I have also a helpful article on positioning the axle that you may be interested in.

I would be happy to piece a kit together for you, but there are not any leaf spring kits designed for axles such as the Trailer Axle With Idler Hubs # e84YR you were looking at. You will need the Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # APS4 with 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 2,000-lb Trailer Axles # e84SR and U-bolt kit # CE23000 to secure the axles to the leaf springs. The top holes you see in trailer suspension hangers such as Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front, 1-1/4" Rear Item # APS3 are for button welds and not bolts so these hangers should not be bolts on.
