Should the Leaf Springs Be Above or Below the Equalizer Spring Bolt Hole?

Question:

Can they be installed with the leaf springs below the CRE3000 end hanger hole versus on top?

Hi Chris,

Do you mean that the shackle extends downward from the MORryde CRE3000 part # MR54AR to the spring eyes? I've linked a photo of a different MORryde CRE3000 equalizer that shows the shackles angled downward instead of up, so the leaf springs are "under" the outer shackle bolt holes. If that's what you mean, that is totally fine as long as it doesn't mess up your trailer suspension geometry.

If that is how your leaf springs are with your current equalizer, you'll want to try and match those angles that the current shackles sit at. To make sure changing to the MORryde CRE3000 part # MR54AR doesn't alter the suspension, you'll want to measure the width of your current equalizer (center spring bolt hole to center spring colt hole) and make sure that the MORryde equalizer is within 1/2" of that measurement. Same with the distance of the center hanger bolt hole to the side spring eye bolt hole. If these measurements are too different it will change the suspension geometry and how the trailer rides.

What equalizer are you wanting to replace with the MORryde CRE3000 # MR54AR?
