The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.
A P2-rated light produces a 45-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 90 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be seen straight on, but it cannot be seen clearly from the side. So this type of light can be used as either a side marker light or a clearance light, but it cannot function as both. If you need both functions, then you must install 2 separate lights on your trailer - one as a front or rear clearance light and one as a side marker light.
Surface-mount trailer lights install using a flange or bracket with mounting holes. These lights lay flat against the trailer surface and only require a small, often pre-existing hole, for wiring. Mounting hardware is used to secure the light to the trailer.

This was a great replacement light on my Tracker boat trailer. Almost a direct replacement. Install was easy (besides having to remove some parts on my trailer I didn't anticipate and work. I like having these side markers functioning at night and when backing my boat trailer in the dark!
This is an EXTREMELY difficult light to find. I called by boat trailer manufacturer (EZ Loader) and they said that Wesbar made these wedge lights since the early 1990s and 2 years ago they had stopped making them? This light is a PERFECT replacement to that Wesbar wedge light that has been discontinued. E Trailer is an AWESOME company. This is my 5th order and I cant say enough good things about this company. Extremely helpful folks - fast shipping and superior products. REALLY pleased.

etrailer had the lights I was needing for my older boat trailer.. Great price, fast shipping.
Got my lights super promptly but unfortunately the wiring on my trailer is bad after all. But I love it that I could get the parts.
The trailer had the boat trailer lights I needed ship them quickly and inexpensively local marinas did not carry them was very good

Outstanding
Not the same as I had but they work good needed to drill and slice wires
I am very thankful that etrailer carries a replacement light for my "not so new" boat trailer (1999 Prestige). The M116A Wedge Amber Side Marker light is nearly the exact same light my boat trailer came with, including the fastener holes. The video and technical information helped me decide to buy from etrailer. Keep up the good work etrailer. I would definitely buy again from etrailer.

Shipping was prompt, exact replacement.
The 1st light didnt work, thank goodness I ordered 2 and the 2nd 1 did. Not worth the $13.21 I paid to send back. I ordered close to $300 and this was my only mishap. Everything else was shipped faster then that other online retaler, made in USA (I'm a disabled vet & only buy American) and looks and fits perfect. Hopefully someone at etrailer will read this and make up the $13.21 but if not I'll survive.

I don't blame eTrailer as much as I blame the United States Postal Service but to deliver a package that originates near St. Louis, Missouri to go to Salt Lake City, Utah and sits for nearly 5 days is quite astounding. Why can they not deliver a package and make a straight bee line to the DFW metroplex. It took nearly 2 weeks to get a simple package.I deducted the 1 star for that reason.
Ordering process easy. Searched all of Tulsa area and was told by trailer companies that the lights I needed on my 15 year old boat trailer were no longer available and that I would need different lights. AND...drill new holes to fit new lights in my restored trailer, which I did not want to do! So, I found etrailer in search engine, found the amber lights quickly, and ordered same day. Received the 2 trailer lights in good packing order and within expected time of less than 1 week. Will order any needed future lights from etrailer.com!

After on e year still working great!
These wedge-shaped marker lights are nearly impossible to find, though they were widely available just a couple of years ago. etrailer.com has them in stock for a reasonable price - lucky for me since I have two of them on my boat trailer and haven't found a decent substitute. I did need to drill a new hole in my trailer since the screw mounting pattern is smaller on these lights than the original lights, but that was easy. Overall very satisfied - prompt delivery of quality lights at a reasonable price - can't get much better than that.

One year later and still working well!
Great product, quick shipping
Lights are pretty much what I was looking for but was surprised to see that the holes for mounting them are pretty small. Since these are submersible and going on a boat trailer frame the supplied wood/sheet metal (?) screws won't do me any good and would like to put in a little larger screw in them. Maybe you can tell me how much larger I can make the hole without compromising the light itself.

I have contacted the manufacturer and they have confirmed that they measure the mounting holes with a caliper and the diameter of the head cannot be larger than 0.25 inches, but you can go longer than the 0.75 inches length of the screws provided. The current screw specs are 6-18 x 0.75 Type A., Type 1 cross recessed fillister head tapping steel screws with black oxide coating.
