• How to Determine Replacement Tail Light for 2004 Ranger Boat Trailer
  From what I could find it looks like a 2004 Ranger boat trailer uses round tail lights so something like the Optronics GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light # STL101RFMB could potentially work. Since I don't have specs on your tail lights though I'll need you to confirm the dimensions of your trailer tail lights prior to getting a replacement. • What are the Dimensions of the Different Steps on the Back of Optronics Trailer GloLight STL101RFMB
  I went out to the warehouse and pulled Optronics trailer light # STL101RFMB to measure it for you. That bottom tier is actually closer to 4-7/16 inches (4.44) and it is 3/16 inches tall. The next one up is 3.95 inches in diameter, which might as well be 4 inches, and it is 3/16 inches tall. The last tier is 3.79 inches (3-3/4) in diameter and 3/8 inches tall. The plug at the top is 1 inch wide, 1/2 inch front to back, and 7/16 inches tall.

  The Weathertight connection on the back of the GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light # STL101RFMB is a newer design from Optronics, so the Three-Wire Straight Pigtail # AL45PWTB is an adapter for the older 3 prong design that is still pretty commonly used on older lights and other manufacturers (see part # A45PB). With that said, as you do not have a need for this adapter, you will indeed need the 3-Wire Pigtail - Weathertight Plug # A45PMB.

• Diameter of Optronics # STL101RFMB GLOLight LED Stop/Turn/Taillight
  The 4 inch diameter listed is for the lens, while the entire diameter of the unit, including the mounting flange is 5-1/2 inches. The lamp is designed to fit in a 4-1/2 inch diameter hole. If installed in a 4 inch hole, the mounting flange would not be flush against the mounting surface. If you could enlarge the hole by 1/2 an inch, the lamp would work great for you. All of the flush or grommet mounted 4 inch trailer lights we offer require a 4-1/2 inch hole.

  The Optronics GloLight # MCL157RB that you referenced is designed to be recess mounted with the Recess Flange # A57GB. While it wouldn't quite be as flush mounted as the Optronics GLOLight LED Stop/Turn/Tail Light # STL101RFMB that you also have it would look pretty good on your trailer. For a very similar 2-1/2 inch LED light that is designed to be flush mounted check out the # MC57RB. For a flush mounted grommet you would want part # A55GB.
