This 4-5/16" round Fusion GloLight doesn’t look or perform like ordinary trailer lights. With a red lens over red LEDs and a white lens over white LEDs for the backup function, it gives off a solid, even panel of light instead of visible dots. The 24-diode setup creates a smooth glow that’s easy to see day or night while drawing less power—only 0.316 amps for stop/turn, 0.150 amps for tail, and 0.30 amps for backup at 12V. It’s an LED upgrade that’s more efficient and lasts up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs.
If water exposure is part of your routine, this light is built to handle it. The molded plastic housing and durable acrylic lens are sonically sealed together, forming a waterproof, single-piece unit that’s safe for full submersion. Life on the road can be rough on lights, but this one uses SMT construction to tough it out. The diodes are soldered directly to the surface of the circuit board instead of being connected by fragile wires. A recessed mount keeps this light tucked in where it belongs. It installs with a grommet (sold separately) and connects through weathertight ports that accept both 2-pin and 3-pin plugs. Hi everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today, we're taking a look at this Fusion GloLight submersible combination tail light. Now, this round, four function, waterproof LED light is gonna provide you your brake light, your turn signals, your tail light, and your back up lights. Let's take a closer look at this light together. Now, this GloLight lens creates a solid panel of light with a smooth appearance.
And I have this connected to 12 volt power right now, so let me go ahead and turn that on for you. And you can see that this outer band of LED functions as your tail light. And then the center red LEDs are gonna act as the turn signal and brake light. So, let me activate those center LEDs. So, there is your brake light function, and then turn signal function.
And then I'm gonna go ahead and turn my studio lights off. And again, you can see just how nice that outer band is, that GloLight lens. And then let me turn on those brake lights, then the blinker. And while we're here, let me go ahead and connect this, the reverse lights here, so you can see what that looks like as well. And you can see that's a very bright light for the back up lights.
And then let me go ahead and turn my studio lights back on, and I'm just gonna go for a wider angle here. Let my camera focus. And again, you can just see how bright this is with my studio lights at a distance. And then let me go ahead and connect those reverse lights again. And then you can see just how bright that is.
Now, LEDs make great replacements for the incandescent lights. They last 50 times longer, they're more efficient, and they provide a brighter light with less power output. There are no bulbs to replace and there's no brittle filaments to be concerned about. And what we have here is a red acrylic lens over red LEDs, and then a white acrylic lens over white LEDs for the back up function. Now, this is molded plastic. It's sonically sealed, and the housing is waterproof, and the lens unit is submersible. And these weather tight ports accept the two-pin and the three-pin plugs. So right here, we have the two-pin, and then right here, we have the three-pin plugs. Those are sold separately. You can get the two-pin plug on our website, item number A42PMB. And then the three-pin, the three-pin wire, you can find on our website, item number A45PMB. And if you don't have those plugs already, you will need those for this light. And this has, this features a surface mount technology. And this surface mount technology is used to construct these lights. It protects the LEDs from shock and vibration better than the through-hole technology because the diodes are soldered directly to the surface of a printed circuit board, instead attached with wires that run through the holes in the board. The result of that is a circuit board that is smaller, yet provides more routing area that offer, and that offers superior performance, and reliability, and durability. This also allows improved heat distribution and thinner construction. Now, this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. And the reset, this is a recessed mount. The grommet is sold separately. You can find that grommet, item number A45GB. And if you need the flange bracket as well, you can find that on our website, item number A45BB. And then the installation hardware is not included, so you would have to source that locally. Let me give you some overall dimensions here. The overall diameter of this light, we are sitting right at about 4 1/4 inches in diameter. And then regards to the thickness, let me lay this face down. And then I am going to take into consideration these ports here, not these plugs but the actual ports that are part of the light housing itself. And we're sitting at about an inch and 5/8 deep, an inch and 5/8 deep. Now, there are 24 diodes in this light. And the power draw at 12 volts is, for the tail light is gonna be .150 amps. The stop turn light, .316 amps. The backup light, .30 amps. And there is a lifetime warranty on these LEDs. And then you will get a one combination tail light.
