Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a real quick look at this hardware for mounting your Optronics License Plate Lights. Now this hardware set is going to allow you to mount your Optronics License Plate Lights, identified by the numbers that you see there on your screen. And also on your screen I am putting a photo with a diagram of the measurements that you might find helpful of each piece of this hardware set. I saw on the Q and As on this product page that we had several of our neighbors asking for those measurements. So for your convenience and for your reference I am including those measurements there on your screen.

You can also find this on the product page as well if you need to refer back to it for whatever reason. And this hardware set is directly from Optronics, so no worries about compatibility issues, or anything like that. So if you are needing the hardware set that will let you mount your Optronics License Plate Lights identified by the numbers that we saw previously, this is going to be exactly what you need. I was looking for some bits to replace the ones that were supposed to hold the license plate to the bracket on my Bunkhouse camper recently purchased from Bushtec. I didn't have a plate to put on when I picked it up and didn't think to check the hardware. By the time I had pulled it home behind my bike, the plate mounting hardware was gone. I contacted Bushtec to see if they would send new ones. After 3 weeks, I went online and found this set for cheap. I ordered 2 sets, just in case. Good call as the supplied screws were a tad long. The extra wahers from the second set corrected that issue. That and a little blue Loctite and torqued to 'good n tight' and I anticipate no issues. It was not easy finding these bits, but happy I did. If they made the screws about 2 threads shorter, they'd be perfect for my application. I was told they were out of stock and would be back ordered. Still got them in a week. Excellent.

I used this to mount my license plate. The screws were just a little bit long so I cut a piece of plastic with double sided tape and put it on the camper so the screws would not rub.

Mounting hardware a little different from original hardware original hardware is a tiny of a fraction thicker and screw head wider than the ones I bought and the part that has a round bump does not line up with the original parts but all new mounting hardware still fit over all great product will recommend

My license plate hasn't fallen off yet so I suppose it's working great and deserves 5 stars. I also used some mounting tape on the bottom of my license plate to keep it from slapping against my trailer while driving. With the mounting tape and the purchased hardware I haven't had to think about my license plate for the last year which makes me happy!

This is the plate mounting hardware that everyone seems to forget is needed when flush-mounting a LP20SB or LPL55CB license plate bracket! The nuts are captive so all you do is screw on the license plate from the outside. Screws are short so you don't poke the trailer wall.

I was not able to find exactly what I needed until I ran across etrailer. I order these and they fit perfect. The slim, thin nuts fit perfectly behind the tag mount, fitting flush and not coming in contact with the body of my camper. I'm very happy with these tag mounting screws.

This is the only setup which allows you to remove a license plate without damaging the plastic holder.
The inserts however are hard to keep in place while you screw the screw in.

Product is as described and what I needed. My only complaint is shipping. I ordered a previous item for cheap shipping and it took 7 days. This item I paid more for priority mail and it took 7 days. So just pay the cheap shipping. Otherwise would have been 5 stars.

Hello Danny. To install the Optronics LED Trailer License Plate Light with Bracket # OPT97FR onto you want to use the Steel Fasteners for License Plates and License Plate Frames - Standard - Qty 4 # CR80230, you might need to use a 5/16 inch bit to make the holes a little bigger. Then to put the license plate onto the holder you want to use the Hardware for Mounting Optronics License Plate Lights # LP52HP.

Using Optronics Hardware # LP52HP to Secure License Plate to Factory Flush Bracket on New Trailer
The Optronics Hardware Kit # LP52HP that you referenced is indeed the best option we have available for securing the license plate to the factory bracket on your new travel trailer. This kit is designed specifically for the Optronics brackets like their LED # LPL55CB, which has a really similar design to the one in the picture you attached. I can't say for certain that the nut won't rub up against the surface of the trailer, but you can compare the depth of your bracket's mounting holes...

I went out to the warehouse to measure Hardware for Mounting LP51 Series License Plate Lights Item # LP52HP for you. The screws are 0.25 inch screws with an overall height of 0.51 inches and threaded height of 0.35 inches. The washers have an outer diameter of 0.61 inches, inner diameter of 0.26 inches, and are 0.03 inches thick. The nuts are 0.81 inches long by 0.5 inches wide overall. Is Special Mounting Hardware Required to Install License Plate Light # LP51CB
Because license plate light # LP51CB grounds through the mounting hardware, you would want to use the mounting hardware that is specific to this light, # LP52HP. This hardware will provide the best ground for the light.

We do have hardware only that you could use with license plate light and bracket # PM436B. Take a look at # LP52HP. But, all stainless hardware is not available.
