Determining the Bolt Pattern

The first number in the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes. The second number denotes the diameter, in inches, of the circle on which the bolt holes sit.

Bolt Pattern - Even

On wheels with an even number of bolt holes, measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the hole directly across from it. (Example: 8 on 6-1/2 means 8 bolt holes with 6-1/2" from the center of one hole to the center of another on the opposite side.)

Bolt Pattern - Odd

To determine the bolt-circle diameter on wheels with an odd number of bolt holes, measure from the center of any bolt hole to the point halfway between the two bolt holes directly across from the first. (Example: 5 on 4-1/2 means 5 bolt holes with 4-1/2" measured to a point halfway between the opposite bolt holes.)

Bolt Pattern - Side

Measuring the distance (D) from the center of one bolt hole on the wheel to the center of a bolt hole right next to it can also help to determine the bolt pattern.

  • If D = 2-5/8", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2"
  • If D = 2-3/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4"
  • If D = 3", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5"
  • If D = 3-1/4", then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2"

Trailer is pulled weekly and hubs and bearings have held up well.

Hi George cant say enough good things about the retro fit from the old dayton style wedges! believe me I have two other trailers with those wheels on them and they are going to be changed over to. I was worried about the inner and outer race dimensions fitting, but no problems there, I will be buying more of these from Etrailer!! ......... thanks

I just ordered 4 huds for my trailer on Monday and got them Friday, everything was well packed and top notch. I just got done installing them, couldn't wait to see how they fit. Shouldn't have worried everything fit like a glove and I'm ready to go out and get my fire wood.
Every product I have ordered has been the same quality. I won't order from anyone else. George check with me to see if everything arrived and to see if I was satisfied. Where do you get service like that any where else?

The hubs and brakes are working like a charm. Was able to get 8 cords of wood put up. Thanks again for quality products.

by:

Wonderful product. Everything was well greased and it fit as per specs. Double boxed so no damage to product. Will do business with these folks again.

by:

Was a great tease, received box 4 of 4 and had to wait until Monday for the rest to arrive, the boxes were a bit hammered, and when a caliper mount bolt fell out I was worried how many other bolts had gotten lost, but everything was there. Service was great, free shipping, these were heavy boxes, and they are tough to pack well so they don't pop open. Thanks to the order staff and especially Sammi G for getting my order straightened out from my miss ordered parts, will be ordering my trailer parts from them again!

by:

Perfect fit, easy to order and easy to find the exact fit my boat trailer needed. One year later and thousands of miles later these hubs are doing their job well.

by:

We actually prefer the non greased version of this hub assy. We were glad to get these in a pinch. They will work on our machines, but we have to do some modifying in a lathe, so the grease must be removed.

by:

Everything was in good shape, super fast shipping. Very satisfied with products.

Just one thing, It would be super nice if you have included grease or have a option where I can ask for you to put one in for the package.

Outstanding. Ive had to make some quick stops dealing with atlanta drivers. The disk brakes performed very well. Drum brakes would have failed.

  • Pilot Diameter for etrailer Hubs # AKIHUB-655-6-K and # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K
There is no brake mounting flange on either the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # AKIHUB-655-6-K or part # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K. These simply mount onto the your spindle. If you are talking about the overall diameter of the plate that the bolts are installed on then part # AKIHUB-655-6-K measures about 7-1/4" and part # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K measures about 8-1/2". Part # AKIHUB-655-6-K has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern, is compatible with 16" to 18-1/2" wheels, and has a pilot diameter of 3-1/8" at...

  • Will Slip On Rotors Fit the 7k Idler Hub part # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K
Yes, the 7k hub part # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K that you referenced that has a 8 on 6-1/2 inch bolt pattern would be compatible with a 7k rated slip on rotor kit like part # K2R79E. This has the same capacity and wheel bolt pattern so it would work well.

  • Replacement Hub and Spindle For Trailer Using Tapered Spindle With Timken 24780 and 10183 Bearings
I do have a recommendation for you as we do not carry a hub which will work with your current spindle. Instead you can replace your spindles with the more commonly found #42 Spindle # TRU57FR. This will allow you to easily slide on a hub for a 6 on 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern # AKIHUB-655-6-K or one with the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K. Both these hubs include pre packed bearings, races and grease seals for easy installation.

  • Will 8 On 8 Inch Hub Work With Timbren Axle-Less Suspension System
Unfortunately, the Trailer Hub Item # AH60880FCOMP will not fit the spindles of the Timbren Axle-less Suspension System, Item # TASR7KS02. Like you pointed out, this is the only 8 on 8 inch hub option we have for you. We do have other hub options that would fit the Timbren Axle-less Suspension System, Item # TASR7KS02, like Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly, Item # AKHD-865-7-2-EZ-K, but they are 8 on 6-1/2. Please let me know if I can help you with any other questions.

  • Spindle And Hub With 8 on 6-1/2 Bolt Pattern For 7,000 lb Axles
Sure thing, we can get you a spindle for 7,000 lb axles as well as hubs with an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. You didn't mention if you wanted an idler hub or hub and drum so I'll go ahead and give you options for both: - #42 Spindle for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb Trailer Axles # TRU57FR - Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly - 7,000-lb Axles - 12" Diameter - 8 on 6-1/2 - Pre-Greased # LC53UD OR - Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K Both hubs are...

  • How to Determine Fitment for Replacement Hub on Mobile Home Axles
The only way to confirm whether or not the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K will fit your mobile home axles is to pull a hub on both axles and check the bearings and grease seal to see if the part numbers match the following: Inner bearing - # 25580 (1.75" inner diameter) Outer bearing - # 14125A (1.25" inner diameter) Grease Seal - # GS-2250DL (2.250" inner diameter) If you can't find part numbers on the bearings and seal then you'll need...

  • High Capacity Spindle or Axle for Hay Wagon
I wish we did, but we do not carry any 10k rated trailer spindles. The highest we have is a 7k spindle like part # TRU57FR. This is a standard spindle that could work well on your hay wagon as long as you didn't need more than a 7k capacity. We also carry the hubs compatible like the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 7,000-lb Axles - 8 on 6-1/2 - Pre-Greased # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K. If you want the axle and not just the spindles, then I recommend the Dexter Trailer Axle Beam with E-Z Lube Spindles...

  • Recommended Hub And Drum For A Lippert 7,000 Axle V000209130 On A 2016 Dutchmen Voltage 3005
If you wanted to stick with Lippert, you will want the Pre-Greased Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # LC53UD. This is a direct Lippert replacement for 7,000 pound axles and the V000209130 number you found confirmed it. This number indicates that your axles use the # 25580 inner bearing and # 14125A outer bearing, which this drum also uses and includes. As a side note, if you have more than one axle and if said other axle does not have brakes, you will need the Trailer Idler Hub Assembly #...
