This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver adds real utility for everyday hauling. With a Class I rating, it handles up to 2,000 lbs of gross trailer weight and 200 lbs of tongue weight. That’s the right capacity for small trailers, cargo carriers, or a bike rack for two bikes. The round-tube design keeps a clean look while staying compact behind the bumper.
The hitch is made from fully welded steel for maximum strength and long-term durability. Curt uses precision robotic welding to make sure every joint is consistent and solid. The gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat, so it resists rust and stays looking good through road grime and bad weather.
This hitch is designed as a custom fit and mounts directly to existing points with your vehicle’s factory hardware. There’s no need to weld or cut anything—just bolt it on using common hand tools. Installation instructions are included, so you can get it on in the driveway without special equipment.
The 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" receiver opening works with Class I compatible accessories like bike racks, cargo carriers, or small ball mounts. Drawbar, pin, and clip are sold separately, so you can choose the right setup for what you plan to tow or carry. This setup gives you reliable strength without overbuilding for small loads.

After using the hitch for the bike rack I had bought I found the hitch very handy and easy to use and fit and finish was like a factory accessory. I found a flip frame for the license plate so I would not need to re-mount the plate every time I wanted to use the hitch.

Just fine. Have transferred it to my second car and is on its 3rd cross country trip. I haul my bike with it.
