Question:
Would I need to install a hitch from Mini or is there a hitch I can purchase from you with which I can attach the rack to the Mini?

We can assist you with selecting both a hitch receiver and compatible bike carrier for your 2009 Mini Clubman.
A hitch-mounted bike carrier is a good choice since your Clubman is not an ideal match for trunk-mount type bike carriers due to its light sheet metal which can be dented by the weight of a loaded trunk carrier.
First, for your hitch I recommend the Curt 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch, part # C11387. This hitch can support 200 pounds tongue weight (TW) which is more than enough to handle the weight of a 2-bike carrier and two bikes. (Tongue weight is the downward force applied to your hitch receiver by the items attached to it.) Installation instructions are linked at your right. Installation requires some drilling, temporary removal of the rear bumper and minor trimming of the rear fascia. All required hardware is included with the hitch and to assist you with the installation process I have linked two helpful articles on installing a hitch receiver. This hitch when mounted will provide 4-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the farthest point on the bumper. Note that a Class I hitch can carry only 2 bikes.
The tilting rack you selected, the Thule EasyFold # TH903202, is an excellent choice. This carrier provides a high weight capacity and many user-friendly features. Instructions and a demonstration video for this product are also included.
