I wanted to make sure that this product would fit my 2009 Mini Cooper S Clubman.

The trailer hitch that is confirmed to fit your 2009 Mini Cooper S Clubman is the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I - 1-1/4" # C11387. If you will be using this hitch for towing, I recommend the Curt ball mount # C45019 along with hitch ball # C40001 for 1-7/8 inch or # C40018 for 2 inch diameter. You will also need a pin and clip like # F-4.

For wiring, I recommend the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236. This will protect your system from overload by drawing power directly from the battery. I've attached an article to assist with running this wire.

If you will be using this hitch for an accessory like a bike rack or a cargo carrier, Curt requires use of a stabilization strap # 18050 to avoid making the warranty void.
