Question:

Someone was interested in buying my vehicle. They said they wanted a mechanic to check it out, which I was fine with. Well when I pulled up to this mechanic shop, it was some guys house. He looked over the whole vehicle and said it was in great condition the vehicle was a state vehicle before I bought it about 4 months ago. He then looked under the back of the truck and stated that there was a back crossmember missing. I looked under to see what he was talking about and saw nothing missing I went to school for mechanics. And there was no evidence that there was something missing. The only thing he was going on was the fact that he had a 2000 ford ranger pulled apart in his basement, and because that one had it, and mine didnt, my car was then a piece of junk. I then proceeded to take it to 3 actual mechanic shops who all said that there was nothing missing. So my question is, does every 2000 ford ranger have a back crossmember?

Sounds like you are referring to a trailer hitch. And no, not all vehicles come from the factory with trailer hitches installed so the one you are selling just may not have ever had one.
