Towing trailers with different coupler sizes just got easier thanks to the 180 Hitch 2-ball mount. This ball mount features a stainless steel 2" and 2-5/16" hitch ball on opposite ends of the ball mount platform. Switching to the opposite ball is fast and easy - pull out the dual pins and remove the platform from the shank and simply flip over the platform so that either the 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball is on top. Slide it back up along the shank to the desired height and reinsert the dual pins, hitch up, and go! Because both balls are contained on the platform, you won't have to keep track of separate balls that must be completely removed and installed each time you need to switch trailers.
The 180 Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your application.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your 2 1/2-inch trailer-hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your 2 1/2-inch trailer-hitch receiver and it's going to give you a two-inch and a two and 5/16-inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball. that's going to make it very easy to switch tow-ball sizes so you can tow different types of trailers, such as a small utility trailer, a camper or even a boat trailer. That dual functionality is going to eliminate the need for multiple hitches. And this is also going to give you a maximum drop when you have the shank in this orientation of four inches.
And then when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of five inches and you're gonna have incremental adjustment of one inch. So, that's going to give you the height adjustability that you need so you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. So when you use the 2 5/16-inch hitch ball, you're gonna have a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds. With the two-inch ball, it'll be 8,000 pounds and then you're gonna have a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. Now, taking a closer look here, this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum giving you superior strength and durability.
This features a black Cerakote finish. It's a ceramic coating that's going to provide an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection and durability. So not only is this hitch going to look great on the back of your vehicle because of this finish, but this finish is going to allow you to tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions. This durable finish is going to protect this hitch, but it's also gonna help keep it looking good and working properly for many years to come. So what we have here is a dual-pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow-ball size very simple.
So let me give you a brief demonstration of that. I'm gonna take one of these keys, insert it into the lock, and then that's going to allow me to remove this slider pin. While I have this removed, I wanted to show you that these pins here are aluminum, the housing is aluminum, and then our lock is plated steel. So, all that to say this is going to hold up really well against the elements and you're not gonna have to worry about it becoming corroded or anything like that. But notice just how easily I can slide this platform up and down.
It's gonna be very easy to adjust the height, and I'm gonna switch this over to my two-inch ball, and so you're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling to make the adjustment that you are looking for. Now if you notice I don't have the key in our dual-pin slider lock here. I do have it in the locked position. So all I have to do is line up the holes here and then slide that into place and then that is locked and good to go. So it's a great theft deterrent that we have here. And then I'm gonna replace this cover that's included to protect that keyway, just like that. And then another nice addition to this setup is going to be our hitch-pin lock. If you notice, it has a cap there to protect the keyway. You are going to get four keys. Everything is keyed alike, so one key will operate our dual-pin slider lock and our hitch lock. So I'm gonna go ahead and remove this. So, again, notice I'm gonna remove the key here and then I turn it into lock position. I'll replace our cap. What I really like about this is I don't need the key in this lock either to lock it into place. So, I just push it firmly like that and we are good to go. So, very easy to operate and you're gonna be able to make those adjustments in no time at all. So, again, four keys keyed alike, and you might be wondering about some measurements. I went ahead and took some before our time together. So, the first measurement I'd like to give you is from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball. That distance is about 8 1/2 inches on center. Moving to the second hitch pin hole, it's about 9 5/8 inches on center. And then from the center of our last hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So, this is SAE J684 certified and VESC regulations V-5 compliant. So if you are looking for a hitch that is going to be a great long-term investment for you, that's going to give you a lot of versatility, safety, durability and as you saw, ease of use, this hitch is really gonna be an excellent option for you to consider. Again, these balls are stainless steel, but we do also have it in a chrome-plated steel option, as well. And, of course, different drop lengths, as well.
