Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Andersen Aluminum Rapid Hitch 2 Ball Mount for your two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver. Now this lightweight yet tough aluminum adjustable ball mount is designed for heavy duty towing. This is made for your two and a half inch trailer hitch receiver, and this mount is built for towing heavy loads. So this is gonna be ideal to use on your trucks, RVs, and other heavy duty applications.
This does come with two ball sizes. You're gonna get your two inch and your two and 5/16 inch hitch ball. And when you are using the two and 5/16 inch ball, you're gonna have a gross towing capacity of 12,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's going to be 10,000 pounds, and this has a maximum tongue weight of 1500 pounds. And this amount is adjustable so you're gonna be able to raise or lower the ball mount to match the height of your trailer.
This is going to be especially useful if you tow different types of trailers with varying coupler heights, all with the same vehicle. So the pin and clip here can be easily removed. Let me come back around here just to show you how easily the platform is going to slide up and down on the shank. So you're going to get a maximum drop or rise of six inches. And then there's a pin inside of the platform there that secures the combo ball in place.
So I'm just gonna switch this to the two inch ball there, but you can see, you're not gonna be struggling at the back of your truck to get that height adjustment that you're looking for. Let me see if I can line this up here without looking. There we go. So that pin slides right back into place and I'm gonna secure the clip here. And you're not gonna struggle with the clip either.
Sometimes you can get these ball mounts and it's really hard to jam that clip back into the pin. I don't feel that's the case with this at all. So it's gonna be a matter of seconds to get this adjusted, no special tools or anything like that. This is constructed of high quality aluminum. So being aluminum, it's gonna do a great job of resisting rust and corrosion, but it's strong yet lightweight. And so this is especially gonna be great to use for hauling or towing your boat trailer around the water. You're not gonna have to worry about this rusting or anything like that. And I went ahead and took some measurements that might prove helpful for you before our time together. So measuring from the center of the ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, we're sitting about eight inches. Moving over to the second hitch pin hole on center, about 9 and 5/8 inches. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. By the way, I do wanna mention that if you decide this is the one that's gonna work best for you, once you get it and you put it in your trailer hitch receiver on the back of your truck or whatever vehicle, let us know how you're using this, how it's working out for you. Send us some photos too. You can call us, email us, comment on a video or something like that. But we would really like to hear back from you on how you're using this and see it in action. Well again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
