Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe built-in scale hitch with two stainless steel balls for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This ball mount's gonna be a great choice for you if you're looking for highly-durable and easy-to-use hitch. This does feature a built-in scale that's going to let you easily measure your tongue weight. That's gonna ensure that you have better towing safety and performance. And this is going to slide in your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver and give you two stainless steel balls.

You're gonna get a 2 5/16 inch and a two inch. So you're gonna be able to tow different types of trailers. And this is also going to give you, when you have the shank in this orientation, a maximum of a four inch drop. Then when you flip this shank over, a maximum of a five inch rise, with an incremental adjustment of one inch, make it as very flexible for you for various towing setups, giving you that adjustability that you need. So you can tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle.

So with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're gonna get a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds. With the two inch ball, it's gonna be 10,000 pounds. And then this has a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. So this does feature this tongue weight scale, as you can see right there. And that is built directly into the ball mount platform, and that's gonna help you balance your trailer for safer towing.

This scale is going to let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. And what's great about this, it's a simple operation. This is going to automatically give you a measurement every time you couple your trailer. So this is going to be efficient, it's gonna be hassle-free, and it's going to eliminate the need for separate or commercial scales. This also features this dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height very simple.

So let me give you a brief demonstration of that. I'm gonna take one of the four included keys here, insert the key into the lock, just like that, and give it a turn, and then that's going to allow me to easily remove our dual pin slider lock here. While I have this out, I wanted to show you that our pins are constructed of durable aluminum, as well as the housing. And then our lock is plated steel. So this is going to hold up really well for you against the elements. You're not gonna have to worry about corrosion. And also it's going to do a great job of keeping your ball mount secure to this hitch. So showing you just the ease of adjustability, this slide's up and down very easily so you're not gonna have to worry about struggling at the back of your truck to get that adjustment that you are looking for. And then I'm just going to put that back into place. And if you notice, it slides in and out very easily. And then I'm gonna go ahead and replace the included cover here to protect that keyway. So you're gonna be able to make that adjustment in just a matter of seconds. Now let me go ahead and remove this one more time because I do wanna show you how to swap out the ball. That's also gonna be very simple. So let me go ahead and just lift the shank off of this. And so right now, I have the two inch ball in. And when you're ready to swap this out, this is also gonna be very simple. You can either tip that over, and that retaining pin will fall out, or there is this ring here so you can easily pull that out. And then I'm just gonna go ahead and take the two inch ball, set that aside, and replace it with the 2 5/16 inch ball. You will want to line up the holes here, so make sure the holes in the ball line up with the hole in the platform. And then lemme come around here so I can see, you'll just slide that pin through, just like that. And then you wanna make sure that it's, the pin is in with the ring inside of that cavity there just so there's, it'll be able to easily slide up and down the shank. So I'm just gonna go ahead and replace this on the shank there, just like that. And then replace the dual slider pin. So very easy to swap out that ball. It's secured in place, and I'll go ahead and put that cover back on. So ease of adjustability, ease of swapping that ball in and out to whatever size you need the two or the 2 5/16 inch. And this hitch itself is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum. So this is going to give you superior strength and durability. And one of my favorite features is this premium black Cerakote finish. It's a ceramic coating that's gonna give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your vehicle, but if you happen to tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is gonna help protect this hitch, keeping it looking great and working properly for many years to come. Now another favorite feature of mine is this included locking hitch pin that's gonna keep this securely mounted to the back of your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. So you've got two forms of theft deterrent here. That dual pin sliding lock is going to secure your ball platform to the shank, and then this included a hitch pin lock is going to keep everything secure to the back of your trailer hitch receiver. You are gonna get four keys. Everything is keyed-alike. So one key is gonna operate both of the locks. You'll have three keys as a backup, so you're not gonna have to worry about separate keys. Let me go ahead and give you some measurements. So measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of our bulb, we're sitting about 8 1/2 inches. Moving over to the second hitch pin hole, center to center, 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of our second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So this is going to be a great a great item to consider if you are looking for reliability, safety, durability from your towing equipment.
