Remember when gauging your trailer's tongue weight was such a hassle? It often involved wrestling with bathroom scales, which were far from accurate, or making a trip to the weigh station, which took time and effort. Or you had to buy a separate scale. With a Weigh Safe Hitch, it's super-simple. Just hook up your trailer to the ball mount like you would with any other hitch. The moment you connect, the weight of your trailer pushes down on the hitch ball, automatically giving you a measurement on the easy-to-read gauge. It's quick, hassle-free, and takes the guesswork out of towing. Now you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about whether your load is balanced.
The Weigh Safe Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your needs.

Hello neighbor, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Weigh Safe two ball mount with a built-in tongue scale with a two and a half by two and a half inch shank and a max drop of 10 inches and a max rise of 11. Now folks, this ball mount is included with, again, two balls, a 2 and 5/16 rated at 18,500 pounds, and a two inch diameter ball rated at 10,000 pound capacity. Now folks, this does give you what's called your tongue weight, so it's a very nice feature here, you have a built in scale and you would basically put your coupler on and you'd read the tongue weight scale and then you would adjust your load as needed to help balance your trailer, which is gonna promote safe towing, let you know if your load needs to be adjusted, and those kind of things. And then you can provide a measurement every time you couple to any trailer out there. So very nice, it's efficient, it is hassle free, it lets you tow trailers of different heights, having a nice 10 inch drop or 11 inch rise.
And this particular one comes with the included locking dual pin here and a hitch pin lock and that is keyed alike. So you get four individual keys. They are a tubular style key. That means they're really easy to use and they're a lot harder to pick than most standard locks that are out there. So simply put that in there, unlock it, that'll pop off.
And as far as changing the height or changing the ball, same thing. You wanna put the key in, unlock it, remove that dual pin here. And then from here, if you want to go up or down for the rise or drop, you could simply go up or down. You could invert the shank here for a rise and you could put it in like that. Now let's say you want to switch to a 2 and 5/16 ball to a two inch.
Well, inside here you've got a little ring kind of thing there on a pin. Once you get that, you simply pull that out, that's gonna come right out and you're gonna insert the ball, the other one right into its place and you're gonna put that pin right back into place and secure it just by simply pushing it in place. It's got a spot that's milled out here in the aluminum housing to put that ring back down. And then from there you'd simply put it back on your shank, put your locking pin back in place and put your dust cover over it to keep dirt and debris and stuff out of the lock. Now I'm gonna leave that off for now just so you can kind of see it all there.
But again, that simple folks, the shank itself is all 6061 T6 billet aluminum and it's solid, so it's gonna have greater strength, but be lightweight. The housing here is a solid piece of aluminum as well. The balls are stainless steel so you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion on any of the components here. So very nice kit. I'm very impressed with it. Again, you have lots of drop and rise to be able to use. Now some dimensions I wanna go over from the hitch pin holes to the center of the ball. From the closest one to the center of the ball, I got eight and three quarter inches. And from the farthest one away to center of the ball, I got 9 and 5/8 inches. Well folks, I think that's gonna wrap it up. Just a quick look at our Weigh Safe, two ball ball mount for a two and a half by two and a half inch hitch with the built-in scale. I'm Steven. Thanks so much for your time folks. Thanks for watching and as always, stay safe while you're towing.
