Towing over uneven pavement or washboard dirt roads can rattle your setup. Inside this mount, a polyurethane cushion absorbs shock and vibration so the trailer doesn’t slam or jolt your driveline. It smooths out starts and stops, protecting both your hitch assembly and the load you’re hauling from unnecessary stress.
Level towing keeps your trailer tracking straight and stable, especially with heavier loads. This ball mount gives you a 4-3/4" rise or 6" drop to match your trailer height exactly. Whether the coupler sits high or low, you can position the mount for an even, balanced setup that tows steady every time.
For serious towing jobs, strength matters. This solid steel ball mount is rated for up to 18,000 lbs gross towing weight and 2,000 lbs tongue weight. The one-piece design holds firm under heavy loads like large campers or equipment trailers, so you can tow with confidence knowing it’s built to handle the strain.
Towing gear takes a beating from road grime and weather. The sturdy steel shank and corrosion-resistant powder coat finish help this mount stay in shape trip after trip. It resists rust and keeps looking clean even when left in place through rain or dust.

There’s no need for adjustments or upkeep here—the polyurethane cushion requires zero maintenance. Slip it into your 2-1/2" receiver, secure it with a standard 5/8" pin and clip or lock (sold separately), and it’s ready to tow. It’s a straightforward, dependable setup built to stay quiet and steady every time you hook up.

Now that you have driven with the cushioned ball mount for a while, do you think the cushioned feature is beneficial?

Have now used this mount several times. It is VERY heavy duty and we get no where near its full capacity. I do like the cushioned feature. It noticeably reduces usual shocks that get transmitted to the tow vehicle which, in my opinion, reduces stress on driveline components. The 2.5 inch shaft size eliminates the need for a reducer sleeve for 2 inch mounts which firms up the whole vehicle trailer connection. Also increases comfort for driver and passengers. I did make one mistake however. I figured the amount of I needed by the book. The formula said I needed six inches of . I did not anticipate enough squat in the truck with trailer loaded. As it turned out, I had to use a two inch riser ball to put the front of the trailer where I wanted it. A four inch mount would have been sufficient but I still recommend this product.

A year later, since I last reviewed these and riches still work beautifully. And they are so heavy duty and durable that it is the last hitch you will ever buy. I am a machinist and own a large CNC manufacturing facility in California. Products made in USA 99.9 of the time or far superior to anything else you can buy. It may be a little more expensive than the crap you buy at Walmart, but you were investing in our country and our workforce. Outstanding product!

One year later and both products working great. Towed the 20 trailer on a 1,200 mile round trip and the cushion mount worked better than expected.

Hey Gary, thanks for checking in! I'm glad to hear you're happy with your ball mount! If you have other 2-inch accessories you'd like to use, we offer the # e28JR hitch adapter that would work well for you. It features magnets to hold in in place so it doesn't come out when you switch accessories, as well a slotted hitch pin hole that makes aligning the hitch pin hole effortless. I'll link it for you if you'd care to check it out.... Let me know if you have any questions!
