Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Trimax Razor aluminum ball mount for two-inch hitches, has a four inch drop at an 8,000-pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. This solid shank portion right here is what'll slide into your vehicle's two-inch receiver and you'll secure it to that receiver using a 5/8-inch diameter pin and clip or a hitch lock. Now those items are not included.
We do sell those separately on our website. The ball platform right up front here, this will provide the mounting point for your hitch ball. Again, the hitch ball will be sold separately. The ball hole diameter that the hitch ball goes in is 3/4 of an inch. Now this ball mount offers a four-inch drop, which is measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform.
It is a fixed design, so it gives you the exact drop you need. You can also buy these in a two-inch drop, a six-inch, an eight-inch, or a 10-inch drop. Now this ball mount is built from 100% forged aluminum, so it won't corrode over time. It is a solid aluminum construction, so it makes it very easy to handle without the excess weight. The weight rating on this is 8,000 pounds, which is stamped on the front, and maximum tongue weight is 800 pounds, again, which is stamped on the front here.
Last thing I wanna do is just give you the length, and when you measure the length of a ball mount, you're gonna be measuring from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. So on this one, if we go center to center is right at 8 1/2 inches for the length. So that's gonna do it for a look at this Trimax Razor aluminum ball mount for two-inch hitches with a four-inch drop.
