Question:
I have a ball mount with an 8inch rise - due to the bumper and length of the ball mount I dont have enough room to attach this bike rack. Can I put a receiver extension on or would it be better to get a longer ball mount? I currently have the EAZ-LIFT and it is about 10inch from the pin hole to the center of the ball.

If you put on a Hitch Extender # HE06 you will reduce your trailering capacity to 350lbs tongue weight and 3,500 total trailer weight.
Most of the receiver extensions with that much rise include a gusset for strength that may prevent the Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Rack # C18013 from fitting properly. One that you can consider is the Brophy Ball Mount # EA80. It has no gusset but the design may not allow it to work. I have included a picture with the mount measurements for you to compare with your vehicle.
