Magnetic LED Tow Lights

A towed vehicle is required by law to have functional brake and signal lights that illuminate at the same time as the brake and signal lights on the motorhome or RV that is towing it. These removable tow lights make it easy to add running lights, brake lights, and turn signals to your towed car or trailer.

Simply mount the lights on your vehicle's trunk or roof with the heavy-duty magnetic bases. A 63" long section of wiring connects the tow lights, giving you enough slack to position the lights where you want them. Then run the 245" long wiring harness up to the front of your towed vehicle and across your tow bar and connect it to the 4-way flat on your RV.

If your RV doesn't have a trailer connector, then you can wire the extra 35" long 4-way harness that comes with this kit to your RV. And if your RV has a 6-way or 7-way trailer connector, an adapter (sold separately) will be required to connect the tow lights to your RV.

Sonically Sealed, Waterproof Trailer Light

The waterproof construction of this light makes it ideal for use on trailers that may be submerged, like a boat trailer. The housing and lens are sonically sealed together to create a single unit, which means that water will not get into the light and damage the diodes or circuit board.

The wiring length should be increased by at least five feet. We have a small vehicle and still needed to use an extension. Otherwise it is a terrific solution.

Have not used yet but I think it will be great

by:

Bought these magnetic trailer lights for my hitch-mounted e-bike rack. With two bikes on the rack, the rear car lights are partly obscured. These lights attach firmly to the rack with the magnets but I will secure them with straps as the rack surface is rounded. Plenty bright. Haven’t gone any distance yet, but I will drive reassured that the cars behind will better see my braking and turning.

Just fine!

These work fine and are bright. I plant them behind my toad's roof rack and add a little duck tape for security. I have lost other ones before. It may be overkill on these as magnet is good.

I've seen magnetic tow lights before but not like these LED's. As soon as they arrived I opened them up, checked them out and they are very well built, the magnets seem very firm and they are BRIGHT. The video on the ETrailer site does no represent how bright these light are in my opinion. Very pleased with the quality and how visible these lights are.

Great product, just as described. I am using it on my kayak trailer to replace the original incadescent lights.

  • Will Blue Ox Tow Bars work with Roadmaster Baseplates for a 2015 Nissan Versa Note Canadian Version
The Roadmaster base plates # RM-52357-4A and # RM-52357-5 are currently the only base plates that will fit your 2015 Nissan Versa Note Canadian version. The U.S. and Canadian versions are made the same. The # RM-52357-5 will sit further back than the # RM-52357-4A, but it is not compatible with a tow bar adapter. If you plan on using a Blue Ox tow bar like the Avail # BX7420, then you will need a Roadmaster base plate to Blue Ox adapter # RM-032 along with the Roadmaster base plates #...

  • How To Add Taillights to the Thule EasyFold Bike Rack
There a few options to add tail lights to the Thule EasyFold XT 2 E-Bike Platform Rack part # TH903202. You could use the brackets part # BK70BB and LED light kit part # 98174LED which is designed to add lights to cargo carriers. Since the rack is plastic the only way to really allow these to mount is to use zip ties. This would be the only semi permanent solution to adding the brackets to the bottom of the bike rack. The easiest and less invasive way to add lights is to simply use the...

This is a great option for frequent flat-towing. I have linked an install video for your reference. If your Class A motorhome's hitch is rated for 5000-lbs, then this limit applies whether you are using a tow dolly or a tow bar for flat towing. As long as your TrailBlazer's gross weight is within the hitch (and motorhome) towing capacity then you can tow the vehicle. There is an important difference between dolly towing and tow bar towing. A tow bar puts almost no tongue weight load on your hitch (its pretty much just some of the weight of the tow bar) while a tow dolly will still put...

  • Why Can Optronics Magnetic Tow Lights Only be Used with Vehicles Under 80 Inches
There are certain lighting requirements for vehicles or trailers that are over 80 inches wide that magnetic lights such as # TLL21RK cannot provide. You would need front and rear clearance lamps that are mounted at a 45 degree angle (PC rated). So if the back of the vehicle was a square for example, the light would be at the corner pointed half way between the side and the rear of the vehicle. They need to be placed as high as possible. You also need rear identification lamps (3) centered...

I recommend first checking with the local laws where you will be towing your 2013 Acura TL. The tail lights on a Tow Dolly # DM9713045 are often the only lights which are required. If this is the case you will only need an Adapter # 337TC2074P to go from the 7-way on the motorhome to the 4-way flat on the trailer. If you require additional lighting I recommend adding the Magnetic LED Tow Light Kit # TLL21RK. This is a great option as you do not have to wire anything with your lights....
