Perhaps the easiest light kit to install, the sealed light units snap into the built-in mounting brackets on Draw-Tite, Rola and Tow Ready cargo carriers and then plug into the existing 4-pole trailer connector on the vehicle.

Features:

  • Fits Draw-Tite 40101, Rola 59502 and 59507, and Pro Series 63153 and 63155 trailer hitch mounted cargo carriers
  • Off-set Y-harness - one lead measures about 3'

Light Kit Installation

Insert grommet

Step 1

Mount rubber grommets on both sides of cargo carrier tray making sure grommets are seated securely.

Insert light

Step 2

Press tail lamps into grommets until seated securely on both sides of carrier tray.

Route plug

Step 3

Route plug with green wire under cargo carrier to the passenger side (right) and plug into cargo carrier tail lamp.

Route plug with yellow wire under cargo carrier to the driver side (left) and plug into cargo carrier tail lamp.

Secure wiring

Step 4

With supplied cable ties, secure all wiring to the bottom of the cargo carrier.

Please note: With the off-set Y-harness, one wire lead (about 3' long) is run straight to a light, the other lead (about 6' long) is run along the back edge of the carrier before it curves up to the second light. On the 40101 and 59502 cargo carriers, the wires come up through the carriers' mesh floor to attach to the back of the lights. On the Tow Ready carriers 63153 and 63155, the tighter mesh floor is not large enough for the plug to pass through. Therefore run the wire leads under the platform to the lights, then up the front of the carrier and around to the back of the light. This also helps prevent the wires from getting pinched by the cargo. On vehicles where the 4-pole trailer connector is tucked under the vehicle, a 4-pole extension may be required to connect the two plugs. See 'related items.'

Video Transcript for Cargo Carrier Light Kit Installation

Today on our Rola 23X56 Dart Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches, well be installing part number 20174. Now were going to go ahead and start running our wiring through the cargo carrier. We will pass our four pole connector through the wire mesh here next to the brakes. We will need to be careful as the wiring is just long enough to reach the lights while still being able to be plugged into the vehicle. We can then take the part of our harness with the yellow wire in it and route it over to our left hand side cutout in the carrier. We will then slide our rubber light holder over the harness and connect our light.

We can then go ahead and push the light into position making sure that it locks into the rubber grommet. We will now take the part of the harness that contains the green wire and run it over to the right side cut out and we will again install our light the same as we did the drive side or the left hand light. We will now use the included zip ties to attach our wiring harness to the carrier. With our wiring harness attached the carrier, we will go ahead and fold it up and you will see that the carrier will stay plugged in with the carrier in the upright position. That will do it for our installation of the Light Kit for Rail Cargo Carriers, part number 20174 on our 23X56 Rola Dart Cargo Carrier for two inch hitches.

Package was received with no issues, well packed. Assembly was easy. The light kit install instructions could use a little more detail, hard to tell what they're supposed to look like when properly seated, but not a big issue. Would like to see the wiring harness light connector removable so as to run the wires inside the support channel, but not a big deal. My harness just fit into my connector, but I would imagine others would need an extension. Overall, very happy with the product. I hauled a big gas grill an it was no issues. Plenty of tie-down options. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a way to expand storage. I can take 7 people in my SUV and now I have a place for their stuff. 142387

No problems. The only thing I would change is to make the wires for the lights longer so they could be attached along the perimeter of the frame instead of jutting across.

It's great for what it is... until you need to change a bulb... the lenses seem to be permanently glued to the shells, so it's impossible to pull them apart and change the bulbs. Am I missing something? I mean, what the heck kind of design is that? 26704

Same problem, bought these for my Rola rack to use on a family trip to the home of the mouse in Florida, LOVE THE ROLA RACK, LOVE THE ETRAILER LARGE CARGO BAG, and ETRAILER as a whole is AWESOME!!!! ........That said, WISH I HADNT WASTED THE MONEY ON THE LIGHTS!!.......they stick too far into the cargo area because the plug connection is on the rear of the light.......If the connection was on the side vice the back then it wouldnt be so bad, Just like everyone else, wire to plug is too short so I ended up buying an extender so it wouldnt be in the way and look like crap........Left TX and on second day get to the home of Mickey and notice the passenger light is out....the lights were in use for all of two days.....just got home and had a few to look at the housing thinking I would a new bulb in....I do no see any way to get it apart without using implements of destruction - can see enough of the bulb to tell it is blown. Will probably trash the lights, go to the trailer shop down the road and build my own set with bulbs that can be changed....description really should read DISPOSABLE LIGHT KIT..........I really like etrailer but this product needs some serious improvement!!!!

All parts were top quality, easy to install, everything you need to hook up. Directions were clear and easy to follow. But the power cords for the driver side could be a little longer, should be longer like the Passenger side lighting harness. Both wiring harnesses go from the lights then to the center of the carrier, then to the hitch area. There was extra wiring on the passenger side; you may want to look at this. 80751

I have three pics of our new cargo carrier that we bought from you. Also the light kit and cargo netting. The cargo carrier went very good. I did have to buy a hitch adapter, which i have a pic of because the cargo carrier was a 2" and i have a 1 and 1/2 inch reciever. As you can see we do not travel lightly. 526706

Delivery was quick ordered Mon mornning deliverd Fri afternoon.Trailor was very easy to put together looks great and should do what I got it for.. could come with 6 larger washers fo 3 center bolts.Lights allso went on easy.i chose to run them through the smaller tubes to lessen exposure seeing that i cut them to add an extension (to short by 12 inchs) then I zip tighed tupperware over inside to protect from cargo banging into them and popping them out..in all I would recemend great for the price 148843

Installation was very simple. Only issue I have is that the wires were too short and there is no way for the 4 pin plug to reach the tow vehicle. Had to buy more wires. 125540

One year update: Were still using it on the back of our 5th wheel to carry a diamond plate tool box. Its working out quite well. The supplied hardware started rusting within the first few weeks. Other than that...all is well.

This lighting kit was easy to set up. However, the wiring section for the driver's side was too short to route under the basket. I had to wire it over the basket and rig a protector for this section of wiring. The passenger side section had plenty of wire. The kit does work well. 59627

Very well packaged, arrived in good shape. Easy to put together. Have 12.50 x 35 inch tires plenty of clearance, can not open tail gate with large tire. Ordered light/wire kit, changed to different lights. Will work great for what I need. 365843

We're currently on a 9000 mile road trip from California through Canada to Nova Scotia, to Maine and back... we purchased a car carrier and waterproof cover and they have performed as advertised! Lots of rain, muddy conditions here in Canada and all of our camping equipment stored in our carrier remains clean and bone dry! Great sturdy products. I purchased the light kit for the carrier and it too has performed flawlessly. The carrier is installed on my 2016 Subaru Outback. I had a 2" hitch previously installed and the carrier with all the weight looks great. I don't feel it on the road... 422204

The kit was received in 2-3 days, fit perfectly, installed in 15 minutes (would be 5 mins if I had to do it again). I'm pretty sure my carrier is wider than most so the wires juuust reached the connector as I ran them to the left side support bar (rather than the middle) versus going down the center. I did use heavier gauge zip ties since I had some around and much time under the TX sun can wear those out quickly. Overall I love the product and feel it was well worth the price. I expect they'll outlast the vehicle and easily increase the value of the carrier beyond the cost. Sorry I can't get you a picture; my ball hitch is locked on and I can't find the key :( Thanks for a terrific product. 13939

Light kit installed easily and worked well. I had enough wire to install properly with a little left over. I would have liked to have more wire for the driver's side just so I could run it along the main support beam of the carrier for a cleaner look. Since the back of the lights are exposed, my cargo bumped one of the lights and slightly bent the connecting pins. Not sure if that is a light kit issue or the carrier design, but it'd be nice if that was protected a bit better. 95006

The product was delivered on time. I thought the lights were not the right fit, but then I oriented them according to the direction of the letters and they snapped it securely. I know because the one I did wrong took a lot of working at to get it out again. It'll be fine on a trip. The wires were not long enough to attach underneath the carrier as pictured. I had to do them diagonally on one side. Not a big deal, but I'm glad I took it to the car and hooked up the lights before I zip tied the wires down. All I need to do now is stop by Autozone or Pep Boys for a hitch carrier whisper lock of some kind. I think I will be very happy with the cargo carrier . 42290

Bought the 24x60 railed cargo carrier with the light kit - love the carrier, but the light kit sure could use up to 1 foot more length for the yellow (driver's side) wire. It is too short and I could not route it neatly using the support beams--had to go straight from light to plug and then there is still no slack. They could have taken some from the green (passenger side) because there is plenty there to route neatly along the support beams. I had to fold up about 8 inches of that run. It is simple to install and works fine, just need more wiring. 5914

Etrailer was a pleasure to order from. I highly recommend them to everyone. I started to order a cargo 24x60 carrier pro series online but had some questions. I called the company and spoke with one of their representatives. She was very courteous and professional. She was able to answer my questions and helped me place my order. It arrived very quickly and as ordered. I have since put the carrier together along with add on the light kit. I tested the fit and the wired connection, everything worked as represented. Fantastic company and product! 174758

The light kit is very simple to install. Comes with plenty of zip ties and wire to reach the light connection on the vehicle. The biggest down side to the pack is the rubber gaskets are too small for the carrier. The lights themselves fit snuggly, but I had to create an inner "washer" type fitting with some spare zip ties in the garage to keep the entire light from falling out of the oval space on the carrier. I see the kit fits several brands of cargo carrier, but it's not quite the best fit for a Tow Ready cargo carrier. 22764

- 20174

by:

I purchased the light kit in conjunction with the etrailer 60x24 hitch cargo carrier. The lights are in a rubber grommet enclosure that snaps into the oval openings on the carriers back rails. The wiring has a connector that fits into the light. It was just a matter of pressing the rubber grommets into place, snapping the lights into the grommets, plugging the connectors into the lights, and then zip tieing the wiring into place with the included zip ties. Couldn't be simpler. Lights seem high quality. 76084

- 20174

by:

Not bad, wires could be better Wire lengths are very odd for this product. The yellow wire for one side is almost just too short and the green wire for the other side is about a foot too long. Also, as mentioned in another review, the wire mesh of the 63153 carrier is too small to fit the wire connectors thru the mesh. So I had to cut and splice the wires to get it to work appropriately. I can't comment about reliability and performance as I've only used it once to pick up a xmas tree. 513

- 20174

by:

The product works as described and I am generally happy with it. The wiring connectors that attach the the lights are difficult to connect and are problematic. It is easy to break the connectors because the connection extends into the basket area and it is easy to break them when loading stuff at night into the basket. I enjoy having the basket and the wiring kit. Just be careful connecting the wiring kit to the lights and loading the basket or you'll be purchasing another wiring kit. 28026

Nice Lights A well-designed light kit. Everything was thoughtfully included to ensure a successful installation. By the way, don't be alarmed by the fact that the green wire being a lot longer than the yellow wire. It's supposed to be that way in order for you to install it on the right side of the cargo carrier, with enough length to route it to the left side and toward the back of the carrier. The provided cable ties keep everything together nice and neat. 1374

- 20174

by:

Product and all parts of decent quality with the lights and rubber grommet fitting right into the metal frame. However, the driver's side leg of the harness is about 8-12" short and the passenger side leg is plenty long. I would hope that the manufacturer will correct this by simply adding the dimensions of the carrier, the length of the tongue and the distance off of the rear bumper for a 2103 Ford Escape. Will definitely purchase again from Etrailer. 149552

I ordered this light kit for my Pro Series Cargo Carrier (item 63153). The light kit was very easy to install and took less than 20 minutes. Make sure you watch the video for installing this light kit. Its a plug and play installation. 125580

All I can say is WOW!! The products I ordered are great, the delivery was very fast, and the service simply amazing. Everything arrived very quickly just the way I ordered (the boxes leave something to be desired as they seem to really take a beating) and installation was very straightforward. The instructional videos on the etrailer website are very much appreciated. An excellent experience that I would recommend to anyone. Thanks again!! 9001

Kit is complete and ready to install. Light assembly grommets need a little tighter fit in hitch carrier, fit is a little loose and sloppy. All in all happy with kit as long as lights don't fall out of carrier. 14917

Comments

I agree that the lights fit too loosely. I now have one light because a cooler slid and popped the other light out while driving. Thanks to the quick connectdisconnect feature, the light is along the road somewhere.

-- comment by: Terry H - 05/15/2013

There are replacement lights available, part ST70RB. These lights are a snap-in design, and are not as secure as lights that use hardware mounts. If installed properly, they will hold in place when traveling down the road, but a loose cooler could certainly knock them out of place.

The Cargo Carrier, Cargo Bag & Light Kit were perfect! NO water entered the Cargo bag, the light kit was easily installed! It made traveling so easy. We stayed in a hotel on the way to the beach & we just simply put the bag in our SUV so it was secure overnight! Perfect solution! Customer Service is excellent. We didn't have any problems, but when I had questions before purchasing emails were answered promptly! 260203

Quality: For the money 4/5. Worth the price. Installation: 5/5 easy, diagrams clear Connections: Crappy fitment of male and female receptacles at light. 2/5 Had to twist and work to get in. One there it is secure. I would recommend this to others. I would also recommend the Curt Hitch. It is strong!!! And inexpensive, but not cheap quality AT ALL! Don't know about the bag and cargo carrier yet. :-) 208827

Cut and Splice I purchased this light kit for Carrier 63153. As per the instructions, you are to run the wires along the bottom, then run up through the mesh floor. Impossible with carrier 63153. Due to the small size of the mesh flooring and the size of the light connectors, I had to cut and splice the wires, as to have a professional looking installation. No big deal, just takes a little time and effort. 134

- 20174

by:

The light kit arrived quickly, and was easy to install. I agree with the comments about the problem of those two plugs sticking into where the baggage will rest on the rack (it will push against them when you're stopping), and that the grommets seem to not hold the lights into the rack openings very securely. The electrical wires seem to be long enough now. Sure like doing business with etrailer! 437766

Wireing to short.... Wireing harness has 2 wires, one for each side/light and the drivers side one is 2 feet short. One has to cut and extend the wireing in order to use this kit. Both wires should be the same length and about 4-5 feet. Do not buy this unless you are prepaired to modify it. 387

great all in one package, no need to splice wires or buy any additional wires. fits right into the 6" oval trailer light brackets. Plugs up to my jeeps trailer plug by the hitch reciever. Took me less than 10 min to install. Plugging the wire into the light itself takes a little patience but once you get the plugs lined up it goes right in. The lights themselves feel solid. 327410

- 20174

by:

The product itself worked very well - the lights worked properly as soon as they were plugged in. However, though they were supposedly made to fit the cargo carrier, the fit was too loose. As I result, I needed to use more Draw-Tite straps (meaning I had to buy more) to secure them in place. Granted, that's a minor point, and one easily rectified. I still recommend this product. 106269

Love, love, love our cargo carrier - used it when we traveled across the states. It's sturdy, easy to use, and very handy, since we travel with two large dogs. Pups had room in the van because they weren't squished in with luggage. So, the product is great, but we also want to give a shout out to the customer service and the extremely prompt and friendly communications. 367467

- 20174

by:

I read a lot of reviews that talked about the wires not being the same length and not being able to conceal the connection in the trunk of the vehicle. This was true but the T-adapter from my tail light was long enough that I was able to secure the connection onto the cargo carrier. This will work just fine and I am very satisfied with the installation and results. 11094

The Rola railed cargo carrier was easy to assemble using the instructions that came with it. The available lite kit was also easy to install with the included instructions. I did however need to use silicone to 'glue' the lites into place. etrailer.com delivered the cargo carrier in a timely manner, I would definitely recommend the product(s) and wrestler. 14438

Was a little concerned that this product would not live up to my expectations. I was totally wrong. Quality product great, easy to install, make sure you follow the directions as the product fits very snug to create a tight fit. Wiring Harness could have been a little longer to route the wires the way "I" would have liked. Overall Quality product. 493629

- 20174

by:

Purchased for my ROLA 23x56 cargo carrier. Gaskets are too small so it keeps falling out of teh oval cutouts on the carrier. I'll either silicone glue it in on use electrical tape somehow but this was not what I expected. Can't comment on lenth of cables because I haven't tried it yet. Products ok but wouldn't be my first choice next time. 72277

- 20174

by:

Worth the price and effort The light kit finishes the carrier. The lights help others see you. Installation was simple. Wiring easily attached. Lights themselves just snap into place with rubber gaskets. Great value. I wish there were holes left in the mesh so wires could be routed through rather than around the frame. Still no regrets. 1322

- 20174

by:

This doesn't require a lot of mechanical know how to install. The most difficult part is making sure the wires are attached snugly to the cargo carrier and not dangling where they could get snagged. I bought some flexible plastic tubing at Lowes to protect the wiring plus it blends in better with the cargo carrier. 100273

- 20174

by:

The lights work great and are easy to install, but the power cables aren't the same length for the left and right sides. (It is not long enough on one side but way too long on the other.) My husband made it work, but it was just a bit of a pain using tie-straps to wrap the extra length of the dangling power cable. 20202

- 20174

by:

The cargo carrier was easy to assemble, all parts there. Unit was well build and sturdy. The instructions were easy to follow. The optional light kit was easy to install, all parts fit good. Only problem is the wire harness is short to reach to the vehicles connections. It needs to be about 12" longer. 109812

- 20174

by:

Lights were no problem; they fit well, were sealed and water resistant, and worked as expected. The wiring harness was the problem! The two connecting 'branches' to the lights were the incorrect lengths, no matter how they were manipulated. So extra wire was on one side and the other was too short. 305189

- 20174

by:

Good product and easy to install. I wish that the cables could be threaded through the hollow tubes underneath the cargo tray: this would be easy if the plug were not too large to fit through the opening. Therefore the cables - even though running underneath the tray - are unnecessarily visible. 26619

- 20174

by:

Would not recommend this kit. Had to extend all wires on lights to reach and not be damaged when not on vehicle. After redoing wires to both lights, they got so hot they burned plastic housing. Replace both lights with led ones. Better off buying your own lights and wires and install. 273738

- 20174

by:

The cable is way to short especially since my connector is to the right of the hitch. Have to buy a extender. Hopefully the connectors will not break off when I start loading things. Should have a protective cover over plugs to reduce risk for breaking off. Not enough cable ties either. 49895

- 20174

by:

Easily put into the trailer. It would of been nice if the plugs went in from the end rather than from the back. When you put things on the trailer...bouncing around may knock them out. It would of been nice for the wiring to be an additional foot as it is just barely long enough. 161875

- 20174

by:

The only issue that I see on the light kit that i do not like is that the lights stick into the cargo area too much. I have a bin that i got to fit inside it perfectly but the lights are in the way. A few more of the black zip-strips would be helpful to keep sags out of the wiring. 24829

- 20174

by:

Strong durable product that i got to test over the weekend. I bought the carrier, waterproof bag, and light kit. All very easy to put together and works excellent. Very happy with the service and product. Have already recommended etrailer to friends and will continue to do so. 145845

- 20174

by:

Easy Lights connected easy to the cargo carrier and worked great after installed. Excellent to add to the carrier since we could not see our lights on the SUV. Issue is the connection wires could be a little longer, they work fine but would be better with a little slack. 5540

- 20174

by:

This light kit was very easy to assemble and install on my cargo carrier. The only con is that the rubber grommets that hold the lights in place do not fit as snuggly as I would like. It seems like a really good bump might jiggle the lights lose from the cargo carrier. 200433

- 20174

by:

Product is great for value. I agree with other reviews that short wire should be extended by 12" and long wire shortened by 6". The work-around was to cut the cargo one of the cargo rack wires with side-cut pliers and then file to allow the plug to fit w/o splicing. 115733

- 20174

by:

Lights work well. The only complaint is that they did not fit into the trailer hitch carrier snugly. I used cable ties to secure them better onto the hitch carrier. Not a big deal. Overall, though, very nice. And, yes, I would purchase them again. 311717

Beyond that it is just a good idea to add lights for safey. For the Rola cargo carrier # 59502 you can use light kit # 20174. In order to use the lights your vehicle will need to have a 4-Way trailer connector. If your 2012 Toyota Highlander does not have a trailer connector you can use # 118449. I have...

  • Adding Lights and Reflectors to Make Pro Series Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier More Visible
  • You have a couple of light kit options for the Pro Series carrier # 63153. For regular incandescent lights you can use # 20174. And for the LED light version use # 98174LED. I have linked a couple of videos on these light kits for you. To add reflective strips you can use # RE418T. You will likely have to trim them to fit but they will definitely make the carrier more visible. You could use marker # DM35RS to attach to the basket so that you can see it in your mirrors. The pole is...

  • Cargo Carrier Clearance From Rear Mounted Spare Tire On 2012 Jeep Wrangler
  • I did some research on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler, and per the Jeep website, if you have a Class lll trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver, the tongue weight capacity for that hitch is 500 lbs. The weight capacity would include the cargo carrier weight along with anything that would be carried. The towing capacity for your Jeep Wrangler is 2000 lbs. If you have a Class lll hitch, one of the carriers I recommend is the 24x60 Pro Series Cargo Carrier, part # 63153. It features a 2-1/2 inch rise...

  • Recommendation To Relocate License Plate When Using Tow Ready Hitch Cargo Carrier, # 63153
  • On the Tow Ready Hitch Cargo Carrier, # 63153, the license plate can be mounted to the back of the cargo carrier by drilling two holes of 1/4 inch or less and attaching the plate with two screws. I also have a Optronics License Plate Holder, # LP35BB, that you could use. It mounts by one screw in the center and then the license plate attaches to the holder. If you have the Optional Light Kit, # 20174, on your cargo carrier you could use the Optronics License Plate Light And Bracket,...

  • Does a Trailer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Require a Light Kit on a 1995 Buick Roadmaster Wagon
  • If the cargo carrier and the cargo loaded on it do not obscure the vehicle tail lights, you do not have to have a light kit installed on the carrier. However, it is still a good idea to get a light kit for safety purposes. Since you have the wagon model of the 1995 Buick Roadmaster, you would first need to install Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, # C55352. For cargo carrier, # 63155, you can use light kit # 20174. I have included a link to the installation details for the vehicle...

  • Attaching License Plate to Cargo Carrier
  • The legalities regarding a cargo carrier obscuring a rear license plate can vary widely by state. Your best bet would be to directly contact the State Police or Department of Transportation in the states in which you will be traveling. The Pilot 20x45 Cargo Carrier, part # CR-114N does not provide a dedicated place to attach a license plate. You could drill two holes through the rear rail in order to bolt the plate in place, or simply use zip-ties to temporarily attach the plate, if...

  • How To Install License Plate And Light Kit On The Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier # 63153
  • On the Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # 63153, you can use the Optional Light Kit, part # 20174. This light kit will install on the Pro Series cargo carrier and plug into a 4-flat connector on your vehicle. This will give you operating taillights on the back of your cargo carrier. To mount your license plate on your vehicle and illuminate it I would recommend using either the Optronics License-Plate Light w/ Mounting Bracket, part # LP55CB, or the Peterson License Plate Light with...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2018 Chevy Equinox for Cargo Carrier Use
  • The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13307 does not require lowering your exhaust on your 2018 Chevy Equinox to Install. As you can see in the attached video, the hitch will attach easily but does require the stabilization strap # 18050. Also this installation requires filing or using a rotary tool to make the hardware fit. I don't like the stabilization strap requirement, so I still recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419. The installation is a little different...

  • What is the Capacity of a 400 lb Tongue Weight Trailer Hitch Paired with a 500 lb Capacity Carrier
  • The tongue weight capacity of the CURT Trailer Hitch, # C13143, for the 2010 Lexus RX 350, is 600 pounds. If the vehicle tongue weight capacity is under 600 pounds or under the 500 pounds of the carrier then you go by the lowest rating. Tongue weight is calculated by the weight of the carrier plus the weight of the cargo loaded on it. You also have to add in the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the vehicle. So, if you have a 50 pound carrier and put 200 pounds of...

  • The Surco 24 by 60 Cargo Carrier, part # 52018 has a straight shank, which means that the height at the back end would be the same at the height of the receiver. The carrier includes license plate relocation holes to let you reposition the plate if necessary. • Are the Wesbar 108121 and Optronics # ST70RB Lights Interchangeable with Light Kit # 98174LED
  • Wesbar light 108121 is now a discontinued item but the Optronics # ST70RB is a direct replacement for it, and yes, this 6-1/2-inch oval 3-function light will work great as a replacement part for the cargo carrier lighting kit # 20174. For brighter light output and lower power demand you can change over to an LED-type lighting kit such as # 98174LED. LEDs do cost more than standard incandescent lights but they offer higher efficiency, brighter output and require no periodic bulb changes.

This carrier can be fitted with a lighting kit for extra visibility and safety. We offer both standard incandescent bulb kit # 20174 and the super-bright LED kit # 98174LED.
