Don't get stuck in the mud - or in snow or sand. Just position these tracks beneath your tires for the traction that you need to get unstuck. Rubber fittings linked by galvanized steel cables form roll-out mats that conform to varying terrain. The tracks work well. I use them on sand to try to pull my small boat dolly up a beach. They are a bit heavy to carry to the beach, but the extra heavy material helps to prevent the tracks from sinking into the soft sand.
A year later, these tracks live full time in my truck toolbox. They are handy and easy to use when we need traction. We needed them several times over the summer on wet muddy paths to kayak launches in the Adirondacks. There are lots of dirt roads near our farm that get compacted ice and snow in the winter. These tracks took the place of cardboard and pieces of old carpet that we have used for extra traction before eTrailer sold us a much better tool. Once you get them, you cannot imagine being anywhere fun without them.
eTrailer is always my go to, both looking forward to using these, but also hoping I don't have to...

Havent had to use them yet, but its so nice always having them there.
Hard to put a true rating on these traction recovery tracks until I actually have to use them which I hope is never. I do like the fact that they can be rolled up and take up less space. With that in mind it might be the downside in a stuck situation. As they might just bunch up in loose sand, mud and/or snow. Time will tell. Thanks for your support and quick shipping during the holidays, etrailer.
Had the need to use these only once so far - for getting up an only semi-frozen grassy slope. They worked as intended and allowed sufficient grip to get moving again. While I do have dedicated chains for my truck, these are quick and easy, and can be moved around to different vehicles when needed. The construction is decently robust, and yet the steel cables allow them to be flexible enough to roll up into their compact storage wraps. Very pleased with them!
Great quality traction product.
Mine was an unusual circumstance. I need to move my boat about 75 feet to get it under cover. The ground here has been damp for over 3 months and the SC red clay is like grease when it's even slightly wet. I thought these traction mats might work but they didn't. In all fairness, I was trying to move a boat/trailer weighing 12,000 lbs slightly uphill..
Great piece of gear! Live in an area with a lot of ice in the winter. Have sets for all my vehicles. They are majic when trying to get traction on get et out of an icing area. Saves my butt at least a couple time a winter.
I always would prefer a few bucks cheaper but they seem a good quality and the fact that they wrap up for storage make them easy to keep in the back or tire well area until needed. Haven't used them but they appear to be able to do what they were made for.
Package arrived Minus one traction recovery track.Contacted Eric and was
promised he would make the correction ASAP!
Thanks Eric!!
They are very sturdy!
Received Grip Vehicle Traction Recovery Tracks a few days ago and have already used them to get my front wheel drive car off of a downward sloped snowy/icy area of our driveway. My husband and I are very impressed with the rugged quality of this product and ease of use and rolled up compact storage in their own bags. Will definitely keep in car all winter!

Have used them multiple times especially on ice and they worked great. Hardly takes up any storage and should be a part of everyones tool kit. Highly recommend them.
only had to use once but helped me out. Was stuck on a steep icy hill in a 2wd vehicle. last resort was to put down the mats. took a couple of tries but finally managed to get out. At first the spikes on the bottom did not grab but 2nd time was a charm.
now carry them all winter in trunk of my 4 wd.
I ordered these in the Spring of '22 and have not yet had to use them to date. Winter, however, in Minnesota "ain't far off" and the opportunity to use them will arrive. The items are well-constructed and will do the job when the time comes. "Minnesota...9 months of winter and 3 months of roadwork."
I already have two traction mats and they got us out of a pickle last year on a northern Maine logging road. Four is better than two. Fabulous addition to my safety gear. In some cases, they may eliminate the need to use a come-a-long, always a good thing.
A little narrower than I was thinking. Hopefully I never need them, but we will see. I like how they roll up to store and don't take up too much space.
It's been over a year that I have had these, and so far I have been lucky enough to not need them. But it is reassuring to know that I have them along with me because I have been stuck out in the desert following a tracks of a vehicle. Turns out the other vehicle was a Multi-Terrain vehicle. I knew enough to not dig a deeper hole spinning my tires once I felt myself sink in the sand, but still had to hire a tow service which was quite costly and something my truck/car insurance doesn't cover because it was off road. So these little gems are with me all the time, with me wiser, but ready to use them if I need them. They don't cost much, compared to a tow bill.
Just received my "tire grip vehicle traction recovery tracks". My first impression is they are very well made....heavy duty. Though I haven't had a chance to use them I am very impressed with how well they are made.
I've seen other (companies) traction tracks and they can't compare to how well theses are made. I think if used as intended these tracks will work well. Having these tracks along with my recovery straps in my vehicle makes me feel that much more secure when traveling in bad weather.
They look great! My son even wants a se t.
Haven't needed to use these yet but makes me feel good to have them. They should hold up to the rough use they'll get. Very ruggedly built and they roll into a compact case for easy storage.
Work well and nice and compact!
Quality product, good price, easily carried, deployed and stored. These Traction Recovery Tracks are very handy in Snow, Mud and Sand. Exceptional customer service from etrailer.
Sturdy!! EVERYTHING is rubber coated, and held together with sturdy cables. The cases are great, and easy to use. There are steel spikes on one side, and traction patterns on both sides. These will do the job.
Additionally, I carry 1' x 2' sheets of 'expanded metal' for use on top of these for extra tire grip if needed, to help get the tire onto these tracks, since there is no ramp on these tracks, and they are quite thick and may not go under the tire if you are stuck in a dip in the hard packed snow with ice underneath (as I was recently), etc. or in other extreme situations. 'Expanded Metal' is a plastering supply item, available at any box store for very cheap and it gives great traction, but they need something else under them to support the weight of the vehicle........
I highly recommend these traction mats!!!!!!!
While I have not yet used this product, it appears very well made with aircraft like cable looped through each tread to secure them in a flexible track. One side of the tracks has pointed studs for better grip on ice. Tread sections are made of a dense rubber not plastic. Rolls up nicely in a simple handled wrap for storage. Would be useful in snow, ice and mud to get yourself unstuck. Only reason for a four star review rather than five is that I have not yet put them through a durability test.
Just received them and "HEAT" wave with rain for a week....got to need to use them first

Outstanding traction. We usually have enough weight in the truck bed but not always. These traction belts simply unroll and go into service. I keep them in my truck toolbox. eTrailer always has the things we need to make our adventures more exciting and safe.
