Many tow systems require some sort of hitch accessory to either raise or lower your tow bar so that it sits level. To determine if your setup needs an adapter, hook the tow bar up to your rv and towed car and measure to see how close to level it is. The "safe zone" for a motor-home-mounted tow bar ranges from 3 inches above level to 3 inches below. Car-mounted models must be absolutely level. This high-low adapter can provide you with the necessary drop or desired rise to achieve a level tow bar setup.

We tow our Jeep behind our motorhome. After adding a 4-1/2" lift, the tow bar angle was out of normal range. This was the perfect solution! Works great!
I truthfully have not used this product as I purchased it with a carrier that was to heavy for me to place in the hitch of my truck. Therefore I never used to adapter.
Never knew my tow bar was off center till I saw the comments on needing to be level with towed vehicles tow brackets.
Drop hitch works great. Good quality and would buy again.
Works as it should. I wish it had the ability to put a bike rack in the other slot though.
etrailer shipping was prompt and the base plate was received in a few days. I installed these myself in one day. I have not yet towed the Maverick but I do not foresee any problems. I chose the Blue Ox base plate over the RoadMaster because the RoadMaster required extensive modification to the Active Shutters. The Blue Ox instructions skip some details that end up taking time to resolve. There are clips holding the fascia to the fender that broke when I pulled the fascia, maybe they could have been released from the inside before pulling. There is a black box on the driver's side frame that has to be temporarily removed to install the base plate. The base plate bolt interferes with installation of the black box. I bent the black box bracket to get it to fit but now the box contacts the marker lamp on the fascia (I'll have to watch for future wear/damage). Cutting holes in the fake fog lamps was time consuming as there is a lot of guess work about the location. Although the instructions say start cutting holes for the tow tabs, it's the safety chain connections that are challenging. The problem is trying to hold the fascia up in position while the base plate pushes it away from the truck. The cutouts end up being a little crude but not really noticeable in the grand overview.
The hitch adapter is holding up very well after thousands of miles of towing my Jeep with the RV. Very satisfied with the choice.

I bought the drop hitch for my bike rack as the ramp would be not as steep. As far as the unit, I would have liked having the lower tube further back on the upper tube so it doesn't stick out so far. When I park in a parking lot I have to fold the bike rack up as otherwise it sticks out far enough that it might get hit by a passing vehicle.
Received the hi lo hitch adapter, looks good. Outstanding delivery service delivered days ahead of time. When I ordered this, a trailer suggested it would be close to a week. I received my tow bar hitch in three days and received the Hilow adapter in four days. Outstanding service.

Needed a drop hitch but wanted the shortest possible. The Curt fit that bill and has higher load ratings than others.

I would recommend 2 anti-raddle clams to keep your riser and tow bar extremely ridged. This is a good solution if your toad and Motor home hitch are not level.

Great-it is working exactly as planned.
It is great. Easy to hookup. Easy to take down. Love it.
Ordered items from Etrailer before and have never been disappointed. Called them a few times with questions and they are always very easy to work with.
Item as described and arrived quickly. Needed it for trailer height issues on some yard equipment and it looks to be a perfect height adjustment (and a bit more distance from the back of the tractor). .
Purchased to raise my bike rack above my exhaust to avoid damaging the bike tires and rack. Seems to have worked perfectly so far.

Works great, no issues. I’ve inspected the unit, pulli roughly 15,000 miles, with no cracks in the welds.
