Question:

Hi. I am using a roadmaster 523193-5 baseplate on my 2019 equinox. Will this towbar work with the removable arms c002383? Also I have an approximately 6inch from the rv to the tow vehicle. Does this setup require a high low adapter or can the towbar handle this height difference? Thanks!

Hi Chris!

The etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates - RV Mount - 6,000 lbs # e74ZR will definitely work with the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate # RM-523193-5 you have on your 2019 Chevy Equinox. So you are good to go there.

I would definitely recommend getting a high low adapter though. You want the RV's hitch to be within 3" of the base plate connections, so a 6" height difference between the two is going to be too much to tow safely. With that said, I would grab the Curt High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2" Hitches - 6" Rise/Drop # C26FV as the price is going to be hard to beat and it will have plenty of capacity for your set up.

What kind of RV are you pulling your Equinox with?
