Question:
I currently have a boat trailer with 4.8-8, 4.5on 5 lug rim. Will the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8 White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D work on my trailer?

Hey David. The Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 item # AM3H323 is going to be a bit bigger but it might still be able to replace your 4.80-8 tire with a 5 on 4-1/2 lug pattern.
A 4.80-8 tire is going to measure 16.14" x 4.72". A 215/60-8 tire measures 18.1" x 8.9" wide. This means you're going to need an extra 2.09" between the closest portion of your trailers frame and the back of your current 4.80-8 tire and an extra 1" between the bottom of your fender and the top of your tire.
The Kenda 165/65-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" White Wheel item # AM3H220 is going to be a better replacement option. It's .2" shorter in diameter and only 1" wider than your 4.80-8 tire. We also have this set up on a galvanized wheel item # AM3H240.
How much space do you currently have between the back side of the tire and the closest portion of your trailer?
