Recommended 215/60-8 Trailer Tire w/ a Galvanized Wheel for a Jet Ski Trailer

Updated 01/19/2026 | Published 08/07/2024

Question:

I am replacing the wheels and tires on my jet ski trailer with these, but it looks like the offset is different because the new tires will rub on part of the trailer axle. Is there a thin wheel spacer or something that you would recommend for these wheels? The basic ones at the auto parts store is too large in diameter to fit inside the wheel, so it doesn’t sit flush to the wheel face.

Sorry we are not going to have a wheel spacer for a 4 on 4 lug wheel. Since you're replacing tires on a jet ski trailer, I recommend the Kenda 215/60-8 Bias Trailer Tire with 8" Galvanized Wheel item # AM3H325. This is the same size wheel and tire combo you were looking at item # AM3H323 but with a galvanized wheel that will stand up better over the years being in and out of the water. Sorry, but it also has a 0 offset so it won't address your clearance issue either.

Hey, were you able to find a solution for the clearance issue on your jet ski trailer wheels? Knowing what worked could help others running into the same offset problem.

@JerredH Yeah I found a solution, but it will definitely be frowned upon, lol. I wanted to machine a custom spacer, but in the meantime I ended up double-stacking grade 8 washers on each lug between the bearing and the wheel. I never went back to make a custom spacer because I haven't had any issues, even with driving at highway speeds. I know it's not great but the workaround was cheap and it works.
