Question:
question on trailer tires I am currently running 165/65-8 tires on my leisure lite trailer are the 215/60-8 tires that much taller or wider as they have a better speed and weight rating than my current tires
asked by: William R
Expert Reply:
Hey William, the 215/60-8 tire size does have a higher weight capacity by a few hundred lb per tire. The speed rating is much better at 81 mph compared to 65 mph and the width is about 1.5 inches wider. It's definitely a solid upgrade. Id you have a 5 lug bolt pattern you'd want the part # AM3H323 or if you have 4 lugs part # AM3H290.
In my opinion it's worth the upgrade for just the higher speed rating.
