Hello neighbors, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're talking a simple Valterra foam weather stripping for your RV's air conditioner, and it's gonna help seal up a 14 by 14 inch opening. So folks, this does come like this. As you can see, it's got an adhesive backing on it, so I'm not gonna take that off, obviously, for whoever ends up getting this or whatnot. But basically, you would peel these off, peel off the backing, and these come in four different pieces here. They're 3/4 of an inch thick, and you simply would take the backing off, and then you would make a square just like the picture here around the AC roof opening.
And then when you put the AC on and everything, you can push down or tighten down everything. And this is gonna have some give to it, but not a whole lot, and it's going to seal up and keep the weather out. So you're gonna get 14, I'm sorry, you're gonna get four strips here, so one, two, three, four. The center piece is just a shape holder here for the product while it ships. Very high quality product. I have used other brand and had issues, these do not compress to nothing.
The product is as advertised. Easy to use and get in place. The only reason I give 4 stars is the instructions could have been better. I imagine someone who has installed a couple of AC units won't need instructions.
Did not need this, but glad I purchased just in case. unit came with foam gasket.
