Features to know about

Extra Clearance Where It Counts: 2-7/8" Lift for More Ground Room

Dragging plumbing or bumping the frame on steep driveways gets old fast. This Torflex Lift Kit raises the trailer frame a full 2-7/8", giving extra clearance between the frame and axle so you can handle uneven ground and rough roads without scraping. It’s built for single-axle setups using #11 Torflex axles rated between 4,100 and 6,000 lbs, so you get the space you need without compromising strength.

Built to Match the Right Geometry: Accurate 9-1/2" Mounting Spread

When parts line up right, installation goes smoother and alignment stays true. The frame spacers in this kit are precision-made with 9-1/2" between mounting bolt holes and a bottom lip to center hole height of 1-1/4". That means your axle brackets sit square, keeping suspension angles correct and handling predictable once the lift is installed.

Solid Hardware for a Tight, Lasting Fit: Complete Mounting Set Included

Loose hardware can cause play in the suspension over time. This kit comes complete with 2 steel frame spacers (003-400-02), 12 washers (005-111-00), eight 5/8"-18 hex lock nuts (006-126-00), and eight matching 5/8"-18 screw hex cap bolts (007-177-00) that measure 1-1/2" long. Everything matches up cleanly for a tight, secure fit that stays put through miles of towing.

Sized Right for Single-Axle Setups: Compact and Strong Steel Spacers

Each spacer measures 11" long x 2-3/4" wide x 2-1/2" tall, giving sturdy lift support without adding bulk. The design bolts directly to the side-mount brackets on your trailer frame for a rigid connection. It’s a simple, reliable way to gain clearance and better ride geometry in one go.

  • Distance between mounting bolt holes: 9-1/2"

I shouldn't have waited to give these a review. They were great. All the holes match up, all the bolts are easy to thread, instructions were clear. it took me a couple of slow paced hours. The hardest part was torquing to spec, just because I didn't have a lot of room under the trailer to achieve great leverage. But if I had put the trailer a couple notches higher on the jack stands that wouldn't have been an issue.

Tools I used:Long reach floor jack, a half inch impact wrench with impact sockets for removal of old bolts, a matching open end wrench, a half inch drive torque wrench, gloves, jack stands, socket extension,... That may have been about it. Now the trailer has a little more clearance underneath. Don't forget to reconfigure your weight distribution hitch or ball mount for the change in drop.

Installed on 2019 Airstream Sport 16RB. Fairly easy install if you have the equipment (jack stands, floor jack, torque wrench). Took about 2 hours. Picked up about 4 inches of clearance. Just ordered a double step to make it easier to get it and out of the trailer.

Have a #10 axle and thought I had the right one that was the 2,7/8” lift but that one had a 9” wide bolts. Called in and trailer was great, found the one that had the 8” bolt width, ended up being the 2,5/8” single axle kit which I’m super happy with. Ow my plumbing and tanks are level or above my axles, little better for boondocks.

I recommend measuring the width of your bolts prior to ordering.

Thanks e-trailer and William b for your help and for sending a prepaid return shipping so I could get the correct ones.

Straightforward instructions, only had to extend wires on my 2022 E-pro bunkhouse. Follow the instructions to the T and it’ll take a handful of hours. I’ve lifted a jeep and two trucks, so have lowered axels before, this was a piece of cake. Had to also adjust my equalizer hitch but after having two busted pipes from traveling, hoping this keeps them away from those deep potholes. Only time will tell! I installed on my own and love the result! Before and after lift pictures attached.

by:

I had to open up the holes. Factory drilled holes did not fit

by:

I had to enlarge one hole to install on a Bambi22 works great.

by:

I didn't get around to installing it till this spring. It went in relatively
easily, fit right, drilled holes lined up and it raised the trailer as it was supposed to which gives extra clearence for the sewer flush valve.

by:

The kit bolted up easily and had no problems with it over the last year.
I used my trailer al lot during the summer.

by:

With some modifications I made it work!

by:

Really hoping that this solves scraping when backing up my steep driveway (2024 Airstream Caravel single axle travel trailer).

by:

Easy instal! Works great on my 2015 Airstream 19 trailer.

by:

Excellent customer service. The e-trailer team got my kit shipped right away. I can post some photos once I get it installed. Thank you

Love seeing the difference that the kit had on your trailer, Dan. Did you get the kit to have more clearance or were there other reasons why you got the kit?

  • Availability of Lift Kit for Escape 17B Travel Trailer
Hi Michael; the Escape 17B uses a Dexter Torflex axle but you will have to identify which one. This can be found on the axle tag. Once you have identified the axle you can choose from the following: -Torflex Lift Kit # K71-723-01 (#9 Torflex with 7-3/4" bolt hole spacing) -Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-01 (#10 Torflex with 8" bolt hole spacing) -Torflex Lift Kit # DX56CR (#11 Torflex with 9-1/2" bolt hole spacing) If I had to guess it is a #10 Torflex but the only way to know for sure...

  • Lift Kit for Triple Axle Trailer With 6k Torsion Axles
Hey Dan! Are your torsion axles Dexter Torflex? The right kit depends on the Torflex number, and you will need an additional kit since it is a triple axle. Based on the capacity, you either have a #11 or #12 Torflex. If you aren't sure which you have you can find it listed on the axle tag. If they are #11 Torflex you need # K71-724-02 along with the single axle kit # DX56CR. If they are #12 Torflex you need # K71-725-02 and it will require two kits. There really is no choice on the lift...

Hello Jim, thanks for reaching out. We do offer lift kits that can be used with the Dexter Torsion axles. Do you happen to know the weight capacity of the axle? The S/N seems to indicate a 3,500 lb axle but please do confirm. We offer lift kits for Dexter Torsion Axles in the following capacities: 2,000-lb capacity # K71-723-01 2,300-4,000-lb capacities # K71-707-01 4,100-6,000-lb capacities # DX56CR

  • Lift Kit Recommendation for Single Axle Airstream Trailer that Weighs 5,000 lb
Hey Thomas, most likely the correct lift kit you need for your single axle Airstream is the part # DX56CR as this fits Dexter Torflex axles that have a 4,100 to 6,000 lb capacity like your trailer should have. I would recommend making sure your trailer does have a Dexter branded Torflex torsion axle on your trailer though to be sure but from previous customers this does appear to be what you'd have. Either way let us know what you have and if this will work for you.

  • Lift Kit for 2014 Riverside Whitewater Retro 155 With Dexter Torflex Axle
Hey Scott! The correct kit will depend on which Torflex axle you have. You can either get the Torflex number off the axle tag, or measure the spacing on your bolts. Then you can choose from the following: -Torflex Lift Kit # K71-723-01 (#9 Torflex, 7-3/4" bolt hole spacing) -Torflex Lift Kit # K71-707-01 (#10 Torflex, 8" bolt hole spacing) -Torflex Lift Kit # DX56CR (#11 Torflex, 9-1/2" bolt hole spacing) Any big trips coming up once you get the lift installed?

  • Recommended Single Axle Lift Kit for a # 11 Torflex Axle
I would be happy to! I saw you were looking at the Torflex Lift Kit item # K71-724-02. This is for a # 11 Torflex axle. The single axle version would be item # DX56CR. It also fits a # 11 Torflex axle. It's a little shorter than 3" at 2-7/8" but it is the closest option we have.

  • Will Torflex Lift Kit DX56CR Fit 2024 Airstream Carnival?
Hey David, thanks for reaching out. The Torflex Lift Kit # DX56CR will work with the #11 Torflex axles with capacities between 4,100 lbs and 6,000 lbs, and with 9-1/2" between bolt holes. I am not sure exactly which axle is on your airstream since there is no way to look this up. If you can confirm the specs I mentioned above, you can be sure this lift kit will work for you. • Looking For Axle LIft Kit For 1998 Jayco Eagle
Hello Jamie, thanks for reaching out. We may have a lift kit for your axle, but I would not have a way to know what axle is on your trailer. RV manufacturers just do not list this kind of information online. If you can tell me the weight capacity of your axle, that will help to narrow down the correct kit. Here are the options sorted by eight capacity: - 2,000 lb Capacity # K71-723-01 - 2,300 to 4,000-lb Capacity # K71-707-01 - 4,100 to 6,000-lb Capacity # DX56CR If you are unsure of...

  • Will The Torflex Lift Kit DX56CR Fit A 2015 Airstream Fling Cloud Bambi?
Hello Scott. The Torflex Lift Kit # DX56CR is the correct kit for a 5,000 lb torsion axle. So as long as the axles on your 2015 Airstream Fling Cloud Bambi square torsion axles, and not round tube leaf spring axles, the # DX56CR kit will work great.

  • Looking for Lift Kit for Rockwood RV a214hw
Hey Gregory, do you have Dexter brand torsion axles? If so the lift kit you'd need is the part # K71-707-02. If you happen to have Lippert axles we don't have a lift at this time. From previous customers with your camper we have found that you do have Dexter axles but sometimes that changes from year to year so it would still be wise to check.

  • Recommended Lift Kit For A 2015 Aliner Expedition Pop-Up Camper
Hey Ken, A 2015 Aliner Expedition should have a 3,500lb axle, which should have a 2-3/8" diameter axle tube. If this is true then you can use the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 to raise the trailer height. This is going to raise the trailer by the height of the spring stack and axle tube diameter so the trailer is going to sit roughly 3" taller. I've attached a short video below where I'll walk you through the installation process.

  • Will The Dexter Torflex Lift Kit # DX56CR Fit A Lippert Axle
Hey Mark. The Torflex Lift Kit # DX56CR is specifically for Dexter #11 Torflex axles and would not be compatible with your Lippert Axle. I'm pretty sure at this point Lippert dropped all of their lift kits for torsion axles but if you can send me the RPO # listed on it I can see if there might still be something available.
