This Piranha LED clearance and side marker light delivers strong, even brightness while pulling just 0.14 amps at 12V. The five red diodes create a clean, vibrant output that’s easier to see than older incandescent bulbs, yet it uses less power. With an operating range of 9V–16V and a life rating of up to 100,000 hours, you can count on consistent performance without worrying about bulb changes or dimming over time.
Visibility matters when you’re on the road, and this light’s PC rating ensures you’re seen from both the front and sides. It produces a 180-degree beam pattern, meaning it works as both a clearance light and a side marker when properly mounted. That wide spread helps other drivers notice your trailer sooner—an easy safety upgrade that makes night towing more confident.
The 2-1/2" round shape tucks neatly into place using a recessed grommet mount, so the light sits flush instead of sticking out. It’s perfect for applications where you want a smooth finish or need to replace an existing flush-fit light. The AMP-style plug connection keeps moisture out and wiring simple, while the durable plastic base and acrylic lens hold up against wear and weather.
Part of Peterson’s Piranha series, this light pairs modern style with rugged build quality. The sealed LED design means no bulbs to replace and no fragile filaments to break. Once installed with the proper grommet and plug, it’s a reliable upgrade that stays bright and solid through years of use.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Piranha red lens LED trailer clearance and side marker light. Now this 2 1/2-inch round trailer light from the Piranha series is going to serve double duty for you as both a clearance and side marker light when properly mounted. This is designed with a modern touch and a vibrant illumination. So it's gonna bring a stylish yet functional upgrade to your trailer.
Obviously, I have this connected to my power source already. I do want to point out that this pigtail is not included. This is a pigtail that I'm supplying here, so I can power this up. So just be aware that you are just going to get this light. Now this light does use efficient red LEDs housed behind a durable red acrylic lens and plastic base.
And as you probably know, LEDs are a smart replacement for traditional incandescent bulbs. They shine brighter, they draw less power, and they're gonna last up to 100,000 hours without the worry of brittle filaments or bulb replacements. So, ticking my studio lights back on here, I just kind of wanted to give you a good idea of just how bright this was in low light or dark conditions. Just wanted to give you some other pieces of information about this light. The recess mount is going to install easily with a grommet, and the grommet is sold separately.
And this is going to connect via an amp-style plug, giving you a secure weather-resistant fit. It is PC-rated, meaning that it delivers a 180-degree beam pattern for excellent visibility from multiple angles. This is built for your 12-volt DC systems. And again, giving you that measurement here at that diameter first, as you can see, 2 1/2 inches. And then in regards to the thickness, looking at just the light itself, pretty close to an inch, but if you're including the plug as well, closer to 1 1/2 inches.
It does contain five diodes. It's gonna give you a strong, even output as you've already seen. But if you do have any other questions, whether it's about this light or anything else that we have here at etrailer, don't hesitate to reach out, 'cause ultimately we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
