Specs:
A PC-rated light produces a 90-degree angle of light to either side of its centerline for a total of 180 degrees of coverage. This beam pattern can be clearly seen when you are standing directly in front of the light, as well as when you are standing on either side of the light. When properly installed, this type of light can function as both a front clearance light and a side marker light or as a rear clearance light and side marker light.
Recessed-mount trailer lights install with a grommet, which is often sold separately. These lights extend past the trailer surface and require a hole for installation. If replacing a light, you can utilize the pre-existing hole. If installing a new light, you will need to cut a hole or use a mounting bracket (sold separately) to complete the installation.

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're going to take a quick look at the Peterson LED Clearance and Side Marker light. This is going to be a nice addition or a replacement for your lights on your trailer to maybe upgrade you from your incandescent lights, or just add on more to what you already have. Let's take a closer look at this and make sure that it's the right fit for your particular application. The main benefit of having a LED light is that it is going to be longer lasting and take less power than your typical kind of correlating incandescent bulb. At the back, it does have an attachment point for your amp style connector.
It does not come with one, but you can find a lot of options here at etrailer.com. That connector should look something like this, just a little plug that goes in there and snaps into place. You can see that it has this FIC grommet or a little rubber piece that just helps to protect it from any kind of water getting in there and causing any issues. Once you're plugged in, that just goes to our wire connections. I'm going to match all these color for color. We've got our ground connection, 12 volt power, and also have our braking function.
If you hit the brakes or hit your turn signal, it will come on and illuminate a bit brighter than before.Again, this wiring does not come with it, but it is a related part on the product page. You can pick that up while you're here to make wiring this up pretty easy and straightforward. I want to connect that up again to show you how bright that light is in the dark. Let's do that and now you can see we have those five LEDs, 4 around the outside and the 1 in the center that really illuminates. It gives you a better idea of how bright that is in the dark.As far as the size, this does work with a two and a half inch diameter hole.
It is a two and a half inch diameter light. You'd also get a recessed mount with grommet, that is also sold separately here at etrailer.com, if you wanted to clean up the edge of that so it's not just this light sitting on top of your trailer, and makes it pretty easy to plug up a larger sized hole. That related part can be found on the product page here at etrailer.com. The operating voltage for this is between 9 volts and 16 volts. It is covered by a 10 year limited warranty and it is made in the USA.
That pretty much does it for our look at the Petersen LED Clearance and Trailer light. I hope this video has been helpful. Thanks for watching.
