Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today I'm gonna take a look at this Optronics LED Trailer Clearance Turn Signal or Side Marker Light with the Reflex Reflector in the Red Lens. Now, this is a rectangular LED trailer light that'll function as a side marker light, a clearance light, or a turn signal light. You can see, it is a red lens over three wide LEDs, and it does use a built-in reflex reflector to remove the need for a separate reflector. Now, I have this hooked up to some 12 volt power, and I do wanna show you the light.
So, what we're gonna do, is go ahead and turn on the 12 volt power. And there's your side marker light or clearance light. And then, we'll go ahead and turn off the overhead lights. And if you do hook it up as a turn signal light, you can see that it'll also offer the turn signal function. Now, they do use LEDs.
They do make great replacements for the incandescent lights, 'cause they'll last 50 times longer. They are more efficient, they provide brighter light with less power output, and of course, no bulbs to replace or (indistinct) to break. And the lifetime warranty on LEDs. Now, this is a durable, I'm gonna go ahead and disconnect it from our power here. The base on it is a durable black ABS plastic base.
The lens is a nice, easy snap-on acrylic lens. Very easy to replace. And again, this is compatible with 12 volt DC electrical systems. It is designed to mount onto the surface of the trailer. Now, the hardware installer is not included.
You can see, it offers a three wire pigtail, with the two power leads in the ground wire. And this light is DOT, Department of Transportation, compliant. It is also P2 rated. Few specs on this. The overall length, we'll get our ruler out here and we'll go to the back, overall length from one end to the other is right at four inches long. Height of it is two inches tall. And the total depth of it, one inch deep. Now, the distance between the mounting holes. These are the two mounting holes here that you mount. Center to center on those is right at three inches. And the power draw on this at 12.8 volts will be 0.06 amps. But that should do it for the review on this Optronics LED Trailer Clearance Turn Signal or Side Marker Light with the Reflex Reflector.

Safety update for my antique Shasta. Bright and well made' my only problem was my own failure to order the stainless steel rings to really finish off the install and add some more strength to the light structure; don't be cheap order the rings.
Restoring my old '71 Shasta camper I wanted to upgrade the analog taillights with LED's. These lenses worked great and I was able to use the old aluminum back covers. These lenses are close to the old ones in shape and size and will make the camper safer on the highway. Thx

I think the photos and the video accurately depicted the light. I don't plan on submerging my lights (I installed them on a car vice a trailer), but I believe the lights would do fine. they are completely enclosed. Ordered two so I assume they placed both in one bag and the bag has no serial number on it for reference in the future. One was loose in the shipping box and could have been easily broken with no buffer added to package. Shotty shipping.

I am very satisfied with etrailer and the ordering and shipping of the products, I had questions on the description of the round tail lights so I called etrailer and it was cleared up. The lights are perfect for my application. They are mounted on a small camping trailer that is pulled behind a motorcycle and space is limited so these being only 3/4" thick is great and because they are LED it makes it easier on the motorcycle electrical system. The outside diameter is 5 5/8 inch as on the video review along with all the rest of description is correct. A very nice light indeed.

These were really easy to install. I found that I needed more markers on the side of our 5th wheel trailer (44') I actually posted a few videos of people turning into our lane thinking they had passed the trailer. Connected to the rear and front marker lights and I have had no problems since.
Direct replacement for one exactly like it Same brand and all, although the original lost a few LED's It makes me wonder how good these lights really are..
