It fits fine, You must have someone who knows or done the grind the old one off and the weld the new one on properly. The thumb latch operates much better than the old.
This "underslug" lower coupler works great, it lowered my connection level which works great with my F-150. It has a 14,000 lbs. rating & a good locking latch.
Had to miss our trip due to delayed shipping. Was in a pinch due to a failure. Specifically ordered from etrailer due to expected delivery date listed on website. After ordering the EDD changed by 5 days. Contacted customer service and they were unable to help.

Just fine. This was to upgrade and replace an older coupler. Weld on was very simple
This is a great product. My trailer height had me at the top of my 8"shank. I took this to my local welding shop and had it back that afternoon.

My RV trailer stands really tall and in order to tow it level my hitch was so high that it interfered with my tailgate. By cutting the regular coupler off the top of the frame and welding this underslung coupler to the bottom of my 6" frame, I gained about 5" of space. This allowed me to move my hitch ball down while keeping the trailer level. I can now open my tailgate without hitting the hitch.
Perfect replacement. Had to grind off the paint to weld it on, but that wasn't much to do.
This install is on a 2021 25W Artic Fox factory equipped with a top mount coupler and a 2019 Ford F250 with a built in step in the tailgate. As originally setup with a weight distribution hitch using a 12inch shank the tailgate would rest on the coupler latch (photo-1). I installed an 18inch Equalizer shank 90-02-4500. To determine the correct drop and rise use the Equalizer website. This shank gives me a 3 inch drop and a 5 inch rise. The 18 inch shank moved the trailer back 6 inch yet the camera in the tailgate rested on the coupler (photo-2). I then installed a bottom mount coupler CA-5335-B from etrailer (Photo 3, 4). This gave clearance for the tailgate to open. The tailgate clears the A-frame of the trailer by 5 inches (photo 5). I have found that it is easier to climb over the hitch when hooked up with the 18Inch shank (Photo 6). To finish the installation I installed 35 inch 18,800# chains and a 6ft breakaway cable. The cost with welding $445. To protect my trailer from theft I use a Proven Industries Hitch lock model 2516-J (Photo 7, 8).

It has been a year since installing the underslung trailer couple. We have towed a lot of miles with good success. I am pleased with the truck and trailer setup and the tailgate clearance. I have no worries about damaging my tailgate or backup camera. I have had trouble releasing the ball when disconnecting the trailer. If there is tension on the hasp it will hold the ball. When this happens I have to move the truck forward or backward to relieve the tension.

I bought this coupler because I had a top frame mount that required a very tall hitch. I brought it to a local
Welder to swap out and it’s working very well. It has completely solved my problem.

Pulled RV about 4000 miles with new underslung coupler. Works great. Its so nice to be able to now lower the tailgate.
