What is the underslung difference between BXW2000 and BXW2004?

Great Question. Underslung couplers on trailers look like the trailer frame is sitting on top of the coupler. For an example of what one looks like check out the etrailer.com A-Frame Coupler Underslung # CA-5335-B. I attached a picture of one for you to check out as well.
I reached out to Blue Ox to get the specific differences and there is only one difference. In the design of the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Bolt On - Underslung, # BXW2004, they accounted for this type of coupler by changing the angle of the head where the hitch ball mounts. Changing that angle allows trailers with this type of coupler to use weight distribution without having clearance issues with their spring bars. If you have an underslung coupler on your trailer, you will want this system.
If you have a more of a standard coupler on your trailer, you would want to use the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Clamp On - 20,000 lbs GTW, 2,000 lbs TW, # BXW2000, you mentioned.
With either system, you will need a hitch ball in either a 2 inch size like # 63845 or 2-5/16 inch size like # 63840.
To make sure you have the right weight distribution system, I have attached an article with common questions. Weight distribution is based on total tongue weight which includes the trailer tongue weight as well as any weight behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. Too big or too small of a system can be an issue, so you want to make sure you have the total tongue weight within the specs. For instance, these systems are ideal for a total tongue weight of 1500-2000 lbs.
