Bunk Boards

These carpeted bunk boards provide hull support for your boat during transport and storage. Each 5-foot-long board is wrapped in weather-resistant, marine-grade black carpet. You can run the bunk boards front to back for traditionally shaped hulls or side to side for flat-bottom boats, kayaks and inflatables.

To attach the bunk boards to the front and rear crossmembers of your trailer frame, use existing brackets or a four-pack of swivel mounting brackets (CE10000G-4, CE10001G-4 or C10002G-4 - sold separately). These brackets allow you to install the bunk boards at different heights. In addition, they enable the bunk boards to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

These bunks are well made and carpeted with a very sturdy and attractive material. You could make your own, or you can bolt these on and go. I chose to bolt and go.

by:

Replacing side bunks on boat trailer. Excellent price, good quality and fast shipping.

by:

latest BIG boat- these will aid me immensely in tracking onto trailer...once the darn new motor comes in

by:

The product was delivered very fast and the quality was excellent. Would highly recommend etrailer.com and CE Smith carpeted bunk boards,

by:

New bunks were very easy to layout and install over new brackets for my boat trailer rebuild.

by:

prompt delivery

by:

Bunk boards were easy to install. The price was right. No more expensive than purchasing boards and carpet and covering them my self. A real time saver.

by:

Great range of products. Good prices on quality products. Plus they have unbeatable customer service.

One year old and they are doing fine..would purchase again..

by:

Exactly the product I ordered, quick shipping, quality product that fit the trailer peefectly, easy installation. Will definitely order from etrailer again should the need arise.

by:

They were exactly what I needed. They saved much time.

by:

Bought these two along with a set of four bunk brackets, and all was delivered with free upgraded shipping from etrailer.
These boards are perfect and saved me the time of making my own. By the time I would have done so, the cost would have been higher than what I paid here, and probably not as professional looking.
Great product and fast shipping!

by:

I was originally looking for material, glue and staples to re upholster the bunks on my boat trailer. I found new bunks complete and ready to go on your web site. I came to my senses and bought them. To make the job easier and nicer I also bought new bolster swivel brackets. It was much easier to set the new bunks next to the old
ones and mount the new hardware. You have two great products, I would highly recommend both.

by:

fit like a glove. bolted in place no problems at all. look and work great.

by:

Bought several parts from eTrailer to complete this restoration and transformation of a 1958 trailer to suit my needs today. Couldn't have done it in only 4 days without the help from this great company with quality products!

by:

Item is as described. I have them installed on the trailer for my 14' lone Star boat. These bunks cost less than the carpet alone from the large marine retailer in my area. They're not pressure treated and feel light, but it was nice to buy pre-carpeted bunks. If they last a couple years I'll be satisfied.

One year later, havent used the boat much, but the bunks are still straight as an arrow and look like new.

by:

This product arrived in a timely way and worked fine. We needed to replace a shorter pair of carpeted bunks as part of a trailer rebuild.

by:

Better than I expected! I expected regular 2x4’s wrapped in carpet. Drilled them to tap mounting screws underneath and we’re a plastic synthetic material. Carpet and the work is top shelf! Glad I went with these instead of trying to make them myself! Package arrived sooner than expected which was cool!!

Thanks!

by:

They were priced reasonably and appear nice quality

by:

Very happy with the product and how quickly I got it

by:

Looks great and saved me time by not having to buy wood and carpet it myself. Be aware of the staple locations before mounting as they could potentially get in the way.

by:

Excellent. Easy installation

by:

I purchased this set of bunks to replace the set on my trailer that is over 15 years old. For the price they appear to be great. Well made.
Installation took about 45 minutes for both. That includes removing the old set, new hardware and mounting the new.
With the new bunks it made unloading and loading my boat very simple. Thank you E-trailer.

I recently purchased two sets of bunks boards for my trailer. Although I have not installed them yet, they seem to be of good quality and I am initially very happy with them. I am most impressed with the etrailer web site and how easy it was to order and how fast it was shipped and delivered. Since it was shipped to Canada I expected it to be delivered in 10 days and it was delivered in 3 days. I will definitely use etrailer again.

  • Recommended Placement of Bunk Boards on Bayliner Capri 1950
After completing a very thorough image search online, it appears that the most common bunk placement is about 2/3 of the way between the keel and the ridge that runs along the side of the hull. Rather than on end, most of the bunks I saw had the board meeting the hull on the flat. This disperses more of the weight of the boat along the bunk. The # CE27820 bunk boards you mentioned would be perfect. I'd also recommend using # CE10001G-4 bunk brackets and # CE15283GA-4 Galvanized u-bolts.

  • Recommended Wood for Bunk Boards on Boat Trailer
Hey Steve! What kind of boat do you have? The untreated southern yellow pine used in CE Smith bunk boards is one of the best possible options and what I recommend. This is highly resistant to decay and bugs. It also has a high resin content which helps it dry quickly, perfect for applications like bunk boards. We don't have a 10' length but what most people do is get two pairs of the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 5' Long # CE27820 and put them together.

  • 10 Foot Long Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailer
I can certainly understand not wanting to have to connect 2 five-foot carpeted bunk rails like # CE27820 to get the 10 foot bunks you need. We don't offer them in the 10' length because the shipping costs would be more expensive than the bunks themselves. If you're a DIY kind of person, you can pretty easily make your own bunk boards using 2" x 4" or 2" x 6" pressure-treated lumber and CE Smith Marine Grade Carpeting like # CE11350. Most hardware stores will cut the boards to the length...

  • Parts Needed to Convert a Boat Trailer From Rollers to Bunk Boards
This can absolutely be done. While there are not "kits" for doing the conversion, we do have the parts that you will need. These are not kitted together because each boat/trailer combination is different, so it is easier to not kit them. It is recommended to have bunk boards that are at least 50% of the length of your boat. You can have longer boards if you would like, but you want at minimum 50% of the length. Since your boat is 21', you will want bunks that are at least 10.5' long. I...

  • Parts Needed to Convert a Boat Trailer From Rollers to Bunks
In order to switch from rollers to bunks, you will need to remove the rollers that you are no longer using. I do not see a reason why you can't continue to use the front rollers. You would just want bunks that stop a little but before the front rollers so they do not interfere with each other. You would need to get the bunk boards, swivel brackets and u-bolts for installing the bunk boards. You will need to measure to determine the correct length of bunk board that fits between the middle...

  • Recommended Bunk Board Replacement Options for Boat Trailer
