When your truck is working harder under tow, factory brakes can feel slower to respond. This front brake upgrade kit pairs severe-duty brake pads with heat-managing rotors for strong initial bite and predictable braking through repeated stops.
Adding trailer weight changes how your truck responds when you press the brake pedal, especially during sudden stops or repeated braking. These brake pads use a severe-duty, low-metallic friction formula that delivers a strong initial bite, while the matched rotors use OEM-style vanes to help manage the added heat towing creates. Together they give your truck a more immediate, predictable braking response that stays consistent through repeated stops.
Brake vibration often traces back to uneven rotor machining or inconsistent braking surfaces, especially after repeated heat cycles. The rotors use computer-controlled castings with fly-cut, mill-balanced construction and meet or exceed OE specifications for machining tolerances. A non-directional cross-hatch finish promotes even pad bed-in, helping your brake service start with uniform contact and maintain smooth pedal feel as your truck accumulates miles.
Fresh brake components often need a break-in period before they reach their intended performance. These brake pads use positive mold manufacturing to produce consistent density and precise dimensions, then add a bed-in coating that improves initial pedal feel and shortens the break-in process. Multi-layer vulcanized rubber shims help limit the extra noise commonly associated with high-bite low-metallic pads, so your truck delivers responsive braking without unnecessary chatter.
Road spray, moisture, and winter conditions often leave exposed brake components looking rough long before the friction surface wears out. The G3000 premium raw iron rotors use an OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and edges to help reduce rust on exposed non-friction surfaces. Your brake components stay in better condition between services while continuing to provide the smooth braking performance they were designed to deliver.
Replacing brakes is a job many experienced DIYers can handle, but brakes are one of those projects where being almost right is still wrong. If you would rather leave it to a professional, find an installer near you.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at this Timbren Front Wheel BES Brake Upgrade Kit. Now, this kit has been designed for your 2007 to 2021 Toyota Tundra. And on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend going through our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Just pop in the year, make, and model of your vehicle, and our Fit Guide will confirm if this kit will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you.
Now, upgrading your suspension can improve the ride quality of your Tundra. It helps reduce that sag when you're towing or hauling heavy loads. And it's going to make your truck feel more stable while you're towing or hauling. However, it doesn't reduce the extra workload that's placed on your brakes. So if you've ever felt like that your truck takes longer to stop with the trailer, or maybe your brakes are wearing down faster than you've expected, or maybe that added weight is making your brakes feel less confident, that's where this BES Brake Upgrade Kit comes into play.
This kit is designed to give your Tundra a stronger, more consistent braking power when it is carrying those heavier loads. These low metallic Onyx bike brake pads are going to give you a strong initial bite and eliminate brake fade that occurs with frequent stopping when towing. So you're going to notice more confident and consistent braking performance on every road trip. These multi-layered rubber shims that you see here on the back, they are going to help stabilize the brake pads during braking, ultimately reducing vibration, keeping brake noise to a minimum without sacrificing braking performance. On your screen, that first photo that I have there for you, that's just a closeup of one of those shims from Timbren, the multi-layered rubberized shim, just giving you a view of the construction.
And then that second photo is what the brake pad looks like with that shim pulled off. Again, just to give you a better view of it and the construction of it. So these positive molded pads paired with these precision balance motor, rotors, rather, they're going to promote smooth and even braking, and more consistent pedal feel. Speaking of these rotors, these are OEM-style vented rotors. They're going to help dissipate heat during repeated stops to reduce brake fade when towing.
And these are premium G3000 raw iron rotors, and they feature Timberland's OnyxBond matte black coating on the hat, vanes, and outer edges. As you know, heat is the enemy of brakes. So this OnyxBond coating has a heat threshold of 932 degrees Fahrenheit, which is 67% better than the standard GEOMET coating most commonly used on OEM parts. This coating also is going to help protect these rotors from rust caused by road spray, moisture, and winter driving. It's going to help keep your brakes looking cleaner between surfaces without affecting braking performance. The pads also feature a bed-in coating. That's these blue stripes that you see here on the pads. And this is going to transfer to the rotor to protect it during those first stops. So you're going to be able to enjoy that consistent braking performance sooner after the installation. Installation's going to be pretty straightforward. It includes everything that you see here on my table. But if you think you would like some help with installation, maybe you're not too excited about doing it yourself. On this product page underneath the photos section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. But overall, if you've already upgraded your suspension on your Tundra and you've got that smoother, more controlled ride, this brake kit is going to compliment that suspension upgrade by addressing the other half of the equation. It's going to give your Tundra the stopping power and the confidence, really, to better handle the extra weight of towing or hauling, and together, it's going to help create a more safe and more capable towing experience and set up. I think it's going to wrap up our look today. Again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
