Features to know about

Struggling for Grip on Icy Grades: Square Links Bite Hard

When you’re dealing with steep snowy climbs or slick ice, these Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains give you the traction you need. The square links dig in evenly across your tread, giving strong forward bite and solid braking grip. Drivers mention how well they hook up in axle-deep snow and keep the truck planted through icy corners. The diamond pattern helps keep consistent contact with the road for smoother running and confident control on packed snow or ice.

Tired of Chains that Ride Rough: Diamond Pattern Smooths the Drive

Traditional ladder-style chains can make the ride choppy, but the diamond layout on these keeps more chain in contact with the tire at all times. That means you get better traction while turning and a ride that feels more balanced, even at the 30 mph maximum speed rating. It’s a smart setup for regular highway use in chain law zones or mountain passes where you still want stable handling.

Hate Fighting Loose or Twisted Chains: Integrated Tensioners Keep Them Tight

Instead of fussing with separate adjusters, these come with built-in tensioners that keep the fit snug and consistent. Once they’re on, the assisted adjustment design helps pull everything into place without crawling around in the snow. That means less time on the ground and more time moving.

Need Reliable Chains That Last Season After Season: Manganese Nickel Alloy Resists Wear and Rust

These chains are built from a manganese-nickel alloy that’s tough enough for repeat winter use. The metal resists corrosion and holds its shape under load, so it won’t stretch or pit after a few runs. The 0.145" (3.7 mm) thick links are strong yet compact enough to meet SAE Class S clearance requirements for vehicles with limited wheel well space.

Working in Tight Wheel Wells: Class S Design Keeps Clearance Safe

If your rig doesn’t have a lot of space around the tires, these Class S-rated chains are made for that. They meet the standard for restricted wheel wells, needing only 1.46" (37 mm) above the tread and 0.59" (15 mm) at the sidewall. That low-profile build means you can run them safely on vehicles where bulkier chains just won’t clear.

Each set includes two tire chains for 15" – 17" tires, a reusable plastic storage case, and a 30-day limited warranty.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

Upon receiving my new set of chains. I opened the chain case and found that it did not contain the repair links , or instructions. In the event they don’t come with this set of chains. I watched the video and I am quite sure I will be able to install the chains with little effort. I appreciate the response from William.

These tire chains work very well on my 2019 Ford F-250. They were very easy to install and remove, provide excellent traction in snow or on ice, and come in a nice carrying case. In addition to the built-in tensioner, I also added a rubber loop-type tension to keep them tight. The only problem I encountered was during the 2021 winter storm in Texas. I think I was the only person in the Austin area with tire chains, and while I was in a grocery store someone stole both chains from my front tires (luckily, they left them on the rear tires). The first picture is when I first installed the chains (before the ice and then snow) - the second picture is after several days of driving in the snow and ice (and after the front chains were stolen).

Bought these for my new 2018 Ram Tradesman after trying some SCC Z Chains which, even though they are rated S class, had inner brackets and cables that seemed far to close to the rubber brake line on this Ram (which is unfortunately very close to the tire). These Titan chains are very easy to install, and have a very clean profile on the inside (see pic), so I think these will be fine on this truck.

They also come in a very nice, compact soft case, and are far easier to pack back up than other chains I've used. I've only tried them on my driveway, so can't comment on how they handle in the snow, but I suspect the diamond design should work very well. I did notice that moving the truck after installing, they did need to be snugged up by moving the one tensioner, but that's to be expected as they settle and center themselves on the tire. Very nice design with the stiff cable on the inside, and unique, easy to use tensioner system.

by:

Chain tire set was received several days before the date indicated in the order. My tire size 275/65-20 was not listed on the label of the TC2335 chain set received, even though it was indicated to be good for my tire size by Etrailer. I test fitted the chains in accordance with the etrailer video and it fit just fine as you can see in the attached photo. These chains should do well for our National Park trip in a few months.

by:

Works well, I suggest adding additional tensioner if you don’t want any slack.
Loved the product

by:

Looks like a durable and high-quality product. Easy installation compared to other similar products. I used to have socks for SUV, and it doesn't take any more time for proper installation. Need to test it out.

by:

Just completed fit-check of these chains on my two vehicles (2016 Toyota Tundra, P255/70R18, Michelin LTX MS2; 2010 Toyota Sequoia, P275/55R20 111S M+S, Bridgestone Dueler H/L) and all is good! Hardest part of installation was untangling the chains to lay out on the ground (that always is, for me!). Practice makes it easier. Thank you etrailer!

Rolling a few revolutions and re-tightening chains IS important. Don't leave that step out. I'm going to add rubber tensioners (old-school, I know) just to be sure.

Pics are of the 2010 Sequoia and 2016 Tundra.

Great customer service, ensuring the proper fit for a non-standard tire size. The Titan Chain product was relatively inexpensive, and easy to install (only takes 2-3 mins per tire, and a good amount of that time is making sure the chain is all untangled and ready to install) The materials and components/ construction of the fittings is less robust than the corresponding parts on a similar style chain we got for another vehicle (Konig diamond pattern chains, also purchased from eTrailer. Those Konig chains fit securely, and performed flawlessly on packed sleet/ice). The tightening/ securing features of these Titan chains took some adjusting to get them to fit securely, but once on (and re-tightened, after a short amount of driving, per the instructions), they performed well, also on packed sleet/ice. Time will tell how well the cheaper components on these Titan chains will stand up to repeated use.

These chains were amazing! I was a bit hesitant to go with chains over cables due to the car's manual saying to use cables, but after talking to Bob at etrailer, and watching the install videos, I went with them (on all four tires) and am glad I did! We went up to Yosemite for the New Year, and it snowed the day we drove in. We got through the gate into the park without needing chains, but once inside, the roads started to get covered, and though we have AWD, we don't have snow tires and the chains seemed like the best option. We pulled over and had the chains on all four tires within about 20 minutes. The car ran like a tank through the snow (and later, ice-covered roads) and I'm really happy we went with the chains rather than cables. After putting on the chains, we drove about 100 yards to check and tighten them. They were actually pretty tight - only had to tighten one. They really really came in handy driving through the Yosemite Valley, and the email responses I got from Bob prior to buying these showed me great customer service. The shipping speed was top notch as well, and overall, I'm happy that we went with etrailer to get these chains for our snow-covered trip to Yosemite.

I bought 2 pair. I have used them several times on my 2500 HD Chevrolet pick up. They work well. Easy to put on, easy to takeoff. I wish they were a little more heavy duty. I should have bought the next size up. I would recommend these.

Brenden was great helping make sure I ordered the correct chains for my 2019 GMC 3500. I’m in MO so they showed up the next day. Amazing handling speed of ETrailers part. Thanks so much. Hoping they perform as well as your customer service!

I got my order in from etrailer like fast, very satisfied with the product an service that was provided me. Thanks, now I can stay on the road a n not have to worry about being caught out by a sudden storm.

I was going into the middle of nowhere on a late season hunt and needed chains for mountain passes and deep snow on and off road. I placed the order late in the evening only to wake up early the next morning to find that it has shipped. The company had already provided the tracking number, and who had worked on my order. It was delivered very quickly, so quickly that it came to the address I was going to before I even got there.

The packaging was amazing and the communication was great. There were instructions in the nearly packaged case the chains were in and I had no problem figuring out how to connect and install them. It took me about 5 minutes to put 1 chain on to make sure it fit. The chains seem right and appropriate for my vehicle. They seem sturdy and will hopefully get me out of any unexpected jam I may find myself in.

This company is great and the product was appropriate and at a great price. What more can you ask for?

by:

I bought these for my F350 dually to use in the mountains when the roads get really snowy or icy. I haven't used them yet, but they fit nicely. The only trick to installing them on duals is to make sure they are bunched up because they only fit between the wheels when they are stretched out. But once you get the steel cable through you can shake them a little and they go right through. I use them on the outer dual wheels and on the front if needed. I like that they are chain link, but the links are not so big that they ride rough. The chain pattern helps with smooth riding too. See photos.

by:

"etrailer" is fast (no surpirse), we use them a lot. These chains ROCK. They go on SO EASY. The grip is KILLER, not just forward thrust, but the back end stays planted in corners (diamond pattern is why). My '96 F-250 throws serious snow and ice roost with these on. They come off just as easy: Unhook, swing the cable out of the way from behind the back of the tire, back up 3", fling them in the case. If you are really tired of floppy ladder chains and latches, trimming links and cable type chains (that just don't work)? GET THESE CHAINS. I've tested them in axle deep snow, thick ice, they didn't break, the truck flat hooks up and goes. These WORK- PERIOD!

Still roosting snow! Use them several times a week in winter. Good stuff. Getting another pair once these wear out.

These were purchased for my GMC 2500 PU and I hope to never have to use them. I will be traveling to CO in spring and these are required by law, these along with a set for my 5th wheel are still cheaper than the fine for not carrying. The came well packaged in their own carrying case, appears to be good quality and the instructions seem clear for installation.

  • Recommended Class S Snow Tire Chains for 2014 Ford F-350
The Class S tire chains I recommend for your 2014 Ford F-350 are the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains because their their square-shape links and diamond pattern give you optimal tread in snow as well as ice and are Class S compatible. These snow tire chains are made from manganese nickel alloy to ensure durability but also corrosion-resistant. Since the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains w/ Cams for Wide Base Tires # TC3829CAM you were looking at are not Class S chains, you will need to use a different chain. You mentioned cables, but those are more of an emergency one-time use only, so I highly recommend sticking with Class S chains, the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2321.
