Recommended Tire Chains for a 2013 Toyota 4Runner 255/70-R17 Tires

Tire size 255 70/R17 calls for item 2524 which has 5.5mm chains. Manual states 5mm chains. Does .5mm matter that much?

According to your owner's manual, the maximum side and cross chain diameter when using a set of snow tires on your 2013 Toyota 4Runner is 5mm. The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2524 has a link thickness of 5.5mm therefore, I cannot recommend you use them on the 255/70-R17 tires.
The extra .5mm could create clearance issues that would interfere with your vehicle's braking and suspension components. Instead, I recommend using the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains part # TC2321 which only have a link diameter of 3.7mm.
You will also want to review your vehicle's owner's manual for all other tire chain requirements. I have attached a review video of these tire chains for you as well.
