Very satisfied with the product. The package arrived a little beat up with a significant gash in the side of the box, but the hitch was undamaged and all parts were intact. The hitch installed easily, everything fit as needed, though why the need for a spaced between the hitch and the frame on the passenger side really doesn't make sense, it looks like a fix for a hitch with incorrect mounting hole locations. And that did make the installation a little more difficult, but manageable. The wiring harness also installed easily, everything needed was there and everything worked as it should. I'm quite satisfied.
Installed this on my son's 2011 Ford Escape. Using the simple to follow instructions and the Videos provided by Etrailer made this a simple project. We installed this in conjunction with a receiver hitch, which we also ordered from Etrailer.
This harness appears to be of excellent quality, and is the perfect thing needed to set up my vehicle for utility lights the right way. The only reason for four stars is that I have not actually installed it as yet, so have not had opportunity to test it.
I had it for more than a year, and has never let me down.
This was my second trailer wiring kit for my 2010 Ford Escape. The first one stopped working correctly after about 4 years due to somehow the little module that was mounted with double sided tape behind the tail light came loose and was dangling down where it was exposed to the elements. The second unit was mounted with a screw and worked like a charm. The only minor difficulty is running the power wiring up to the battery in a manner that it is protected and out of the way. Other than that, easy fast installation in one evening. I’ve since traded that vehicle so I can only assume it’s still working.
Harness fit good and was easy to install. Only four stars because the video had stated the connectors were upgraded to heat shrink connectors but my connectors were not. I did have some of my own so I swapped them out.

This kit included standard butt connectors, but as referenced at about 4:10 in the video the connectors were upgraded to part # DW05745-10. A link to those upgraded heat shrink connectors can be found here.

Ordered a hitch and wiring for my 2012 escape.wiring was not available.called and talked to Stacey who found another available harness had them both shipped out and received them in 5 days.i had already read on their website how to install them.i have above average installation skills and installed the hitch and wiring in about one and a half hours.very pleased with quality and ease of install.service was also excellent.

Have had no problems hitch and wiring works great very good quality and ease of installation.
Was easy to install the directions could have been little better to work out but i watched video of it and was simple. Hardest part was running wire to battery.
The wiring harness came with everything I needed for the installation. The hardest part of the installation was running the 12 volt power wire from the rear of the car to the engine compartment. I purchased the optional weather-proof connector wit the heat shrink tubing. This ensures a good waterproof connection for the wiring. The only minor complaint that I have is that I don't like the dangling trailer electrical plug-in. It would be nicer if the plug-in could have been mounted to the bottom of the bumper.

This trailer wiring harness has functioned flawlessly and is holding up to frequent use quite well. However, I still think that the connection point for the trailer plug in should have a bracket or clip to firmly attach to the rear bumper of the vehicle.
Good product bad was the wiring for the box was short
It took me a little longer than expected, I am not as flexible at 65 moving under the vehicle to wire it to the battery. But it is neatly secured and all is working correctly. This is my 3rd hitch installation on different vehicles
can't believe it arrived in less than a week! Best price I found online. Fit perfectly and only took 30 min to install. Happy to write a review for future customers since past reviews were what tipped my vote. Thank you etrailer!
Easy to install, made even easier with your installation video. The design of the harness minimizes the amount of wire cutting/splicing/crimping/etc. Best of all, it worked the first time I plugged into a trailer! Not that I expected it not to, but that was super validating.

Pretty easy install worked great and still working great a year later. Hardest part was finding a good location to mount the controller below driver side tail light but figured it out and watched a YouTube video but the mounting of the controller wasn't in the video they skipped that step. Ran the 12 volt power lead wire up to engine bay along driver side frame rail and attached to brake lines and fuel lines with zip ties.
Wire harness speed with the receiver hitch I ordered. Shipped on time and in good condition. I like that this harness allows a harness installation without having to tap into the vehicle wiring for power. The only suggestion I would make is to include more than 4 ties to install harness across bottom of vehicle. I had plenty at home so it wasn't a big deal. I'm probably being picky but I do believe to keep the harness away from moving, there should be more tires. The harness is high quality. It was plenty long for the install. The connectors were tight fitting which was fine with me. The order process was very easy. Very happy with this product. I bought this harness to run the lights on my bike rack for a road trip we are currently on. Works great!
