Curt Trailer Wiring Harness C56329 Blown Fuse and Will Not Work After Replacing Fuse

Question:
recently just purchased Curt T-Connector part #C56329, and was working fine when recently stopped working. I checked the 10 amp fuse provided and it was blown so I replaced it with a new fuse and still not working ? Its installed on a 2011 Ford Escape XLT

The likely problem is a blown converter box. If there was short circuit on the trailer side that was bad enough it could blow the fuse on the power wire and/or the converter box. If this happens the converter did its job of protecting the vehicle.
Since a new fuse as not resurrected the converter it will need to be replaced. However, before you do so you will want to take care of the short circuit. Start by checking the trailer side connector, making sure it is clean and free of corrosion. Then make sure the main trailer connector ground and the grounds for all the lights are connected to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.
Inspect all of the trailer wiring and fix any spots with exposed copper strands touching the metal trailer frame. If this happened on a boat trailer it could be an issue of water causing the short. Be sure to disconnect the electrical connection between the trailer and vehicle before backing into the water.
