Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at the Fulton Hi-Mount spare tire carrier, part number FHDSTC0101. This spare tire carrier is going to fit four, five and six lug wheels with up to a 16-and-a-half inch diameter. The offset style is going to allow you to mount it up and out of the way.We can go ahead and remove the spare tire so we can go over some additional features. It's going to fit trailer frames up to three inches wide and five inches tall. It's a clamp on installation, there's no drilling required. It features a zinc plating so it's going to resist rust and corrosion, the curved design is going to give you a seven inch offset. It comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed, it even comes with the hardware to mount your spare tire, you don't need to provide your own lug nuts. The Fulton spare tire carrier has a 45 pound weight capacity.
Customers on our site compared this to the Dutton-Lainson Offset trailer spare tire carrier, the Fulton spare tire carrier fits four, five and six lug wheels, while the Dutton-Lainson only fits four and five. The Fulton carrier has a cleaner looking design. Now that we've gone over the features, I'll go ahead and show you how to get it installed. Now, wherever you decide to install it, you want to be sure that you have enough clearance to fit your spare tire onto it.For us, it's going to be right here. Once it's in place where we want it, we can grab one of our U-bolts and put it through the top two holes, and I'm just going to rest it down like so. Then, I'll take one of my brackets, we want to make sure that the single hole is pointing towards the top and we'll put one on each side. Then, on the back side, we'll take a lock washer and then a nut and get that loosely installed.
With the top U-bolt in place, we can take our bottom U-bolt, this one's going to go through the two holes closest to our frame and then it's going to come out the bracket holes closest to our frame. Then, on the back, we'll put that same hardware on.Now, I'm going to go ahead and snug everything down, to where everything is making contact with the trailer frame evenly and then, after that, we can tighten everything down completely . As you can see, I'm just alternating between the nuts. Making sure everything is tightened down evenly. Then, we'll torque them down evenly, to the specifications found in your instructions. In preparation for our spare tire, we'll need to take the carriage bolts, push them through the opposite side, then we'll take our push nuts and you can either push these on, or screw them on in place. What these are going to do is keep our carriage bolt in place.
Then, we can fit our spare tire in place, then we can follow that up with a flat washer, a lock washer and then, the nut. With it loosely installed, we can go ahead and torque them down. Now, the torque settings can be found in your instructions. With everything tightened down, we're ready to hit the road. That's going to complete our look at the Fulton Hi-Mount spare tire carrier, part number FHDSTC0101.

This is just the ticket if your trailer does not have a spare tire mount. It mounted easily to my boat trailer frame. There is very little vibration even when pulling along the mountain roads I travel to get to my favorite lakes. I like that the mount is higher than other mounts. It is also very sturdy and the welds are clean and strong. Lots of folks have looked at it and admired it. I've attached two pictures as it is on my trailer. All in all, it was just what I was looking for and is a great product. 638002

This is a winner. Quality is much better than I expected for the price. Angled bracket fit only mounting option. 930963
Put on boat trailer then sold boat. It fit well and seemed heavy-duty. 920333
Lucky it broke in my driveway while backing in and not on the highway. The cheap pot metal welds broke on the gooseneck to the tire bracket. I could have killed someone. 906730
Easy install and great customer service from Lori B. 870288
Excellent, fast and free delivery, than ks 865325
Right item and appears to be of high Quality. Would have been an easy install If mounted at my first choice location. But The spare tire would have hit the bumper of truck when turning. I had to improvise And drill holes thru tool box and frame. Appears to be strong enough (I’m not an Engineer). I am pleased with the product. I installed it on a dump trailer. I am also Pleased with the fast shipping on this and previous order. Thanks! 861390
Due to the studs being able to slide, it makes it a 2 person job to mount your spare on the otherwise great carrier. 858639
Good price. Easy installation. 850664
Easy install and quality product. I woud buy again. 824271
The product is simple and sturdy. It took 5 minutes to install. My tire is a full sized 16.5” rim with tire and six lugs (3.5” on center Lug spacing) and it fit without a problem. The weight of the tire is nearing its high end of weight capacity. Overall great. My only concern is the bolts mount “inward” toward the boat. It would be helpful for some rubber plugs or some alternatives or I might just reverse the bolts so the tire blocks the bolts remaining extension of threads. Even still it’s simple and easy to install. Check out the end result, (you can’t even see the mount) tire and cover. 821195
My 2nd tire order from etrailer. Both orders were easy to make, costs were reasonable, delivery was fast and products were perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better service and product choice! etrailer is on my recommend list. 810124
Put this devise on my boat trailer and I love how heavy duty it is. Recently purchased the boat and trailer and it came with no spare so this product helped me to be prepared in case of trouble. I had a question when it came in and I called the 800 number and they were very nice and helpful. Would strongly recommend this product. 793533
Product just as described. Easy installation and feels durable. Thanks you! 790156
Got the bracket faster than I thought and installed ASAP. I still want to add another ubolt but this worked perfectly for what I wanted. Also, haven't put the other spare on. Picked up some wheel tire combos a couple of months ago from etrailer and haven't put them on yet! 790112
Purchased this to add a spare tire mount to my older trailer. It bolted right up as indicated in the instructions and my six-lug rim bolted right up as well. Very sturdy and will work out great on my trailer! 775185
Great heavy well built fit the trailer frame and the wheel what more could you ask for oh yeah it looks nice to. 774571

Just what I needed. Easy to install and fit my Alumna trailer nicely. 736967
Everything I ordered came on time and in great condition. I’ve already recommended you to two fellow campers this morning. 716967
This was a perfect fit for the 6 lug spare on my UTV trailer. Fit to the trailer rail with no issues and is a very secure mount. 696157
All of these are working out really well. I especially like the Fulton spare tire carrier, mounted on the trailer tongue towards the front---gives about 1.5 inches of clearance between the boat and the mounted spare tire. The adjustable height of the mounting arm was really a nice feature for my application. I've use Lubrimatic marine grease for years, and expect long life from this brand. The Bow Stop has the perfect angle to receive the bow of my 1970 classic Glastron Futura V 153, and so far appears to be non-marring to the finish of the boat. Very happy with all of these items! 681275
