Do they come balanced? Do you need to balance them? Thanks

Hey Jon,

Most trailer wheel and tire combos - like the Kenda Karrier # KE69JV - do not come pre-balanced. Typically, trailer owners don’t worry about balancing since trailers don’t ride as smoothly as passenger vehicles and you’re not feeling that vibration.

That said, you can have them balanced at a tire shop, or use something like Counteract balancing beads # CA28VR, which install through the valve stem and self-balance as you drive.

If you’d rather skip that step, we do have a pre-balanced option in the same size with part # TA88MR. It has the same 205/75R14 size and 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, but it’s a Load Range C with a 1,750 lb capacity.

I slapped them on as they came out of the box. I checked the air pressure but 2 days later, I made the first of two long runs with them on a tow dolly. There aren't any balance weights on them but except for wearing the injection nipples off them, I haven't seen any unusual wear or felt any abnormal vibrations. They now have about 1200 miles on them. Half of that unloaded and half loaded. One load was at maximum capacity. When unloaded I was also driving in a...spirited...manner.
