Features to know about

Stay Level and Confident Under Load: 8,600-lb Rear Suspension Support

When the weight of a camper or trailer drops the back end of your truck, it throws off steering, braking, and headlight aim. The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System adds up to 8,600 lbs of support to keep things level and steady. The hollow rubber springs mount above the axle and progressively stiffen as weight increases, reducing sag and helping your truck stay balanced when hauling heavy loads or towing.

Smooth Out Rough Roads: Rubber Springs That Absorb Shock

Bumpy roads and uneven surfaces can make a loaded truck feel harsh. Each Aeon hollow rubber spring absorbs road shock and cushions impacts, giving you a smoother ride even with gear or a trailer on board. The springs take the hit before it reaches your frame, limiting bottoming out and cutting down on wear to your factory suspension.

Stay Steady in Crosswinds and Turns: Independent Spring Action

When a gust of wind hits or you take a corner with weight on board, these rubber springs work independently to keep each side stable. That independent action helps reduce body roll, sway, and bounce so your vehicle stays controlled through curves or when hauling off-center loads. You’ll notice better steering feel and a calmer ride when towing down the highway or backing into a campsite.

Simple DIY Setup: Bolt-On Installation With No Air Lines

You don’t need compressors or airlines to get reliable support. The Timbren system bolts directly to the frame using vehicle-specific brackets and hardware—no drilling required. Once installed, it automatically engages under load and disengages when empty, so you can enjoy normal ride comfort without adjusting air pressure or making manual changes.

My order of several items arrived remarkably quick. I was amazed. OK, I read all the reviews of an hour for installing the Timbrens. I will have to call fooey on that unless it was a brand new vehicle with no dirt or rust on old bolts and you had a lift to raise truck on and you were a very healthy individual. My case was none of the above except for having plenty of tools to get the job done. My truck is only four years old and 20,000 miles and it took me all afternoon and I had watched the video. I put solvent on old nuts and still had to fight the nut for complete removal. Do the right one first, the hard one, and the left will seem easy. But, this AM when I hitched onto my 900 lb tongue weight, 1000 lb travel trailer and pulled to my destination, it was all worth it. No sagging rear end, rode good, rolled good and just generally a better feeling. With my sad state of health, I just shouldn't have tackled the job. etrailer did their normal perfect job and I appreciate them.

Best load enhancing ever!!! Any work that was involved in installation has paid off big time. I would absolutely do it again, but would do it before my threads had gotten dirty.

I don't usually write reviews but in this case I have to. I have been using these springs for about a year now and they work exactly as advertised. I carry a truck camper on my truck from March until November. Once I loaded my camper the truck sagged very noticeably. I tried the Roadmaster Active Suspension (don't waste your money) before I discovered the Timbren springs. The Timben springs installed easily, eliminated the sag and gave the truck a much more stable ride because it eliminated the side to side rocking in the back. If you are thinking about getting these, you will not be disappointed.

Ive been using these for a year now. I can honestly say these springs are awesome. They work exactly as advertised. Dont think twice about buying these, you will not be disappointed.

I installed these on my 2012 Ford F250 because I have two friends who have them on their trucks and they pull a travel trailer and a fifth wheel camper. I was impressed with the difference it made compared to my truck and camper Parked next to theirs'. I am mechanic and I see no reason why anyone would have trouble installing these them selves. Clean off the Nut and end of bolts before trying to loosen. Spray some WD-40 on the threads. Put on some gloves and use a 15mm wrench to loosen factory nut. Be sure to hold up on the factory bump stop because it has a line up pin that keeps it from turning as you loosen the nut. The driver side is a little more aggravating to get to because of wiring harness but there's plenty of room to use a wrench first then a 3/8" drive rachet and short extension with a good 6point 15mm standard depth socket will speed up removal. Then installing the new parts is a breeze. Just follow directions or etrailer videos on YouTube. Took longer to remove factory bump stomps than to install new ones. Maybe 45 mins total on original ones maybe. Then after preassembly of new ones, it took maybe 20 mins to install completely. Give yourself 1:30 hrs of time and enjoy your truck not sagging around town when loaded.

I have had zero problems with the Timbrens on my truck. I have pulled our camper and several tag along trailers hauling equipment and parts. They do exactly what they are supposed to. Saves on sag by over an inch. No complaints here.

by:

I installed these on my 2016 F250 4X4 and the installation process was quite simple. I did not experience any difficulty removing the factory bump stops that a few others had experienced. After the installation and with my 8500 lb. 5th wheel attached to the truck, I noticed a change in measured rear ride height of only 3/8 inch. My trailer is not a heavy 5th wheel and my truck already had the heaviest leaf springs Ford makes (upgraded camper package option), so this may be why I did not experience more of a ride height change over the 3/8". All this being said, I am still happy with the ride with the Timbrens. The small change in ride height was enough and I no longer receive oncoming traffic night time headlight flashes wanting me to dim my headlights.

Only had the use of the Timbrens for 6 months as I traded the truck in for a new one. The Timbrens were great while I used them. The only regret is that the new truck wont accept the Timbrens I had on the previous truck New and different frame.

Love them. I don’t haul a trailer but I put them on my pressure washing truck. I usually have about 1800 lbs in my bed. Two 65 gallon tanks, and when they are full I used to sway a lot. Since I put them on I have much more control.
Thanks for a great product!

by:

Easy install.. I tow heavy equipment and made a nice stiff ride with out sag.

by:

Courtesy the USPS, my package was returned to etrailer, despite my communication and extra trip to the post office. Thanks to Will (at etrailer), he noticed it was on the way back to etrailer (via tracking) and sent out (that day) the same order via UPS. Got it this time. Thanks!

It is still doing great.

by:

Excellent quick shipping. The install on my 2013 F-250 was very straightforward and quite easy. Product seems very well made. Just as mentioned, they sit about 3/4 inch from making contact while the truck is unloaded, so does not affect the empty ride. I have not towed with them yet, and am looking forward to seeing how they handle the load.

by:

Here are some pics. I installed the timbren could in about 20 minutes and put them to work the very next day pulling my LE3505 Weekend Warrior Fifth wheel. My 2012 F250 power strike was sagging horribly before purchasing these coils. The coils make the truck perform like a one ton & rides wonderful! Thanks for the opportunity to not have to install Air Bags!!

by:

They work great! Keeps my F-250 level when pulling my 37 ft fifth wheel. No more headlights shining in the trees.

by:

Product is as advertised. Not as versatile as airbags but not as much to go wrong with as airbags either. Nice compromise. etrailer was awesome from ease of finding product that fits my F250 to quick shipping and informative installation video.

by:

Just installed these so haven't had a chance to put them to use. We have a 5th wheel RV and was told by a mechanic that these will stop the rear end sag and also help with any sway problems.
Also need to really give a big cheer for etrailer, very friendly and fast service! Thanks etrailer!

by:

Installed the Timbren stops as instructed. Total time was about 30 minutes. The installation would have been half that but one stock stop was tough to remove due to rust.
I'm very pleased with the looks of the installation, quality of the product and the service from etrailer. I'll report back next week after I hitch up to my 5th wheel but I do expect everything to be good.

by:

I ordered the Timbren Suspension Enhancement Kit on Monday and received it on Wednesday with the standard shipping. (Free on orders over $150.00). This is the third order from etrailer.com and every order has been expedited quickly and received before date quoted. All my orders have been correct and good quality. I installed the Aeon Rubber springs on my 2013 F-250 4x4 Diesel in about 20 minutes just like the video showed. With my truck bed loaded with supplies and bumper hitch trailer hooked up, my truck bed is just a hair below level; before it squatted a couple of inches. The road test will be tomorrow.

by:

The Timbren rubber springs are a great addition to the truck 2013 Super Duty Lariat Crew Cab 172" 4x4. The truck has the 20" wheel option which requires the factory to place a 2" leveling block up front. That makes the truck level of course, taking away the rake, however in doing so makes it look like it's squatting when loaded. Before installing the Timbren springs I loaded the truck with a pallet of pellets and the wheel well sat at 38 5/16" from the ground. After the installation the same load was placed in the bed and the wheel well measured 39 9/16" from the ground. The Timbren springs saved over an inch of squatting meaning more weight on the front for steering and breaking. The ride improved from the motion of the ocean leaf spring ride while pulling our travel trailer to a more smooth but firm at the same time feel, a better ride than empty which does not engage the Timbren springs. This product is the fraction of the price of air bags and far less complicated/ less parts and things to go wrong. One of the original bump stops gave me a hard way but wasn't too bad. I installed the Timbren springs 19 March 2016.

by:

2013 F250 They worked much better than my original junk ford makes. This is not to over load your truck it’s only for better ride within the weight limits. If you overload you will bend supports. I would recommend

by:

After one year the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System has performed as
advertised. My 2016 F-250 does NOT squat with the fifth wheel trailer attached and the ride quality with trailer attached has also improved. Springs arrived quickly and took about 30-40 minutes to install. Excellent Product for towing!!!

I read the recommendation to another buyer and decided to try this product on my 2012 Ford F250 Superduty. I needed help for my 25' goose neck trailer. EASY to install. Worked perfectly with 15K of hay + 6K of trailer weight. The rear of the truck barely set down on the factory overload springs. Empty ride does not seem to be affected as the Timbren pads do not contact the overload stops.
Thanks for a perfect solution without great cost and installation hassle!

They work great. Install was easy even though the original bump stops were rusted and worn. Took some work getting those out but the timbre went on no problem. No squat on my truck and the ride was definitely better than before. Would buy again and recommend this product.

Jesse M gave me expert advice and answered all my questions regarding the Timbren rear suspension enhancement system. @DannyP That is great to hear Danny and it looks like a sweet setup. I sit right next to Jesse so I will have to pass along your appreciation! Timbren does a great job of getting that sag up off the vehicle when loaded especially with a truck bed camper like you. I assume you have that in there full time? I was curious as to how the ride was with it not loaded if you ever drive that truck like that.

  • Troubleshooting Timbren Gap Difference Between Sides on 2016 Ford F-250
Hey Nick! The gap is typically the same on both sides when installing the Timbren SES # TFR250SDG. The smallest recommended gap is 1/2" so adding a spacer isn't a good idea. The smallest spacer is also 1/2" so you would be down to a 1/4" gap on the 3/4" side making them engage faster which you don't really want. I would leave them as is and look at your suspension. The height of the Timbren SES brackets and springs should be equal (you could measure and double check to be sure I suppose)....
