Question:
I have a 2011 F250 crew cab 4x4 diesel with the camper package that has overload springs. I want to get the timbrens on it. I am getting a fifth wheel with around 2200lb pin weight. Right now the truck sits level empty. The overload springs dont even touch til it squats about 2inch or so with my old travel trailer. I dont want it to sag in the rear when towing. Would you recommend getting the 4inch f350 rear block vs my stock 2inch block to help? Also if i do that, can i still use the FR250SDG or do i need the FR350SDF? It looks like the bracket the Timbrens would rest on when loaded are the same height on the 2inch vs 4inch block. Let me know what you guys recommend. Thanks

For your 2011 For F-250 Super Duty if you are adding the Timbrens I would stay with your factory 2" block. If you install Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Item # TFR350SDF you can add 1 or 2 of the Timbren 1" Spacer For Raised Frame Vehicles - 3/8" Bushing Item # A25723-90AH00 but it will require a longer bolt than what comes in the kit. This allows you to install the Timbrens and get the extra 2". Keep in mind the Timbrens are not going to give you any adjustability, your vehicle may still sag with weight and your ride quality is affected. They are designed to support a light load so the vehicle doesn't bottom out when hitting bumps not raise the vehicle as you add weight.
The ultimate goal when towing is to maintain the factory ride height of the vehicle when weight is added. I have installed a lot of suspension enhancement products here and if it was my vehicle and I was pulling a fifth wheel I would go with an air bag set up. Air bags allow you to adjust the height of the truck depending on the weight added so you can maintain that factory ride height and not get the sag on the back that you are trying to refrain from. The ride quality is also going to be much better when you are hauling your fifth wheel. You can decrease the air pressure to 5 psi when not hauling so it doesn't effect your normal ride quality. I recommend Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs - Rear Axle
Item # F2703. These have a 7500 lb load leveling capacity and a max psi of 150. This kit doesn't require any drilling and comes with all the hardware.
