Question:
I have a 2016 Ford F250 Super Cab. I pull a Jayco fifth wheel that is approximately 8000 pounds. That makes my pin weight around 1600 pounds plus other things in the bed. Which of the Timbren kits should I use for that kind of weight. Art the current time with just the trailer hooked up it does not squat bad but it does squat a little. TFRTT350F or TFR250SDG

Expert Reply:
For your 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty, the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System that is the best fit for your application is the # TFR250SDG. It has a 8,600 lb capacity that will suit your needs well. The Timbren springs compress as needed for support, and the heavier weight capacity the stiffer the spring. With these style of springs you don't want to over-do the capacity because it will give you a more rigid ride for your truck. When they aren't engaged with a loaded weight, you won't have any difference in your suspension unless you hit a really big bump and they engage. They are a no drill installation.
The Timbren # TFRTT350F with their 12,000 lb capacity will give you more of a rigid ride, but are also really functional springs. They are designed for heavy duty service vehicles.
