Should I Use Timbren Or SumoSprings Suspension Enhancement On My 2013 Ford F-250 4X4?

Question:

Hello, I have a 2013 F250 4x4 and tow regularly both bumper pull and gooseneck utility trailers. But drive the truck a lot unloaded too. It looks like the Sumo springs are always in contact with the axle which I would guess adds stiffness to an unloaded truck. But they are rated lighter than the Timbren kit by a large margin so Im not sure which would be better for my application. The 8600# rating on those make me think they are very stiff compared to the Sumos. My truck does squat when fully loaded but I have a weigh safe hitch both places and do not exceed max capacity ratings. In short, which would you recommend? Thanks

Both the SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs Rear Axle # SS96MR and the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR250SDG will only engage and function when the truck is loaded down in the rear. When your truck is unloaded, neither system will be causing a rough ride. Both of these will replace the factory bump stops on your frame and offer a simple bolt-in installation process.

The SumoSprings are rated at 5,000lbs max and the Timbren System is rated at 8,600lbs max. If you are going to be towing more often than not towing, then I recommend going with the Timbren System as this will provide much more support. If you are not going to be towing the majority of the time then I recommend the SumoSprings setup since they will likely offer a slightly softer ride as they won't be as stiff.
