When you’re hauling a heavy trailer or a full bed of gear, rear-end sag can throw off your braking, steering, and headlight aim. The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs give you up to 5,000 lbs of load-leveling support to keep your vehicle sitting level and stable. The system distributes weight evenly across all four wheels, reducing the strain on your factory suspension so you can tow or haul with confidence and control.
Every job and load is different, so being able to dial in the ride makes a big difference. These air springs let you adjust pressure anywhere between 5 psi and 100 psi. Pump them up to handle heavy cargo or a hitched trailer, then drop back down when you’re running empty for a smooth ride. Each spring can be inflated separately, giving you the ability to even out side-to-side loads when cargo or trailers are off-center. Manual inflation valves and air lines are included for straightforward pressure control.
The LoadLifter 5000 is designed to handle real-world abuse. Each air spring is made from 2-ply, fabric-reinforced rubber for strength and flexibility. High-strength Zytel nylon endcaps replace traditional steel caps—offering lighter weight, greater durability, and no risk of corrosion or leaks. Air Lift’s exclusive upper and lower roll plates protect the bags from damage while increasing their effective load capacity so they last longer under tough conditions.
Hauling or towing heavy weight doesn’t just make the rear squat—it also increases sway and bounce on uneven roads. These air springs absorb road shock to smooth out your ride and reduce body sway. The result is steadier handling through curves, less bouncing over bumps, and a more planted feel whether you’re towing long-distance or carrying uneven loads in the bed.
Installing serious suspension support doesn’t have to be complicated. The kit comes with detailed hardware, brackets, air lines, and manual inflation valves—everything needed to mount the springs using common tools. Once installed, just add air through the accessible valves (often placed on the bumper) to set your preferred ride height. You can also add an optional compressor system later for automatic adjustments right from the cab if you want more convenience down the road.
When servicing your truck with Air Lift air springs installed, if the truck is lifted by the frame, the air must be let out of the springs. And if the rear of the truck is lifted during service, then it must be supported by jack stands to avoid damage to the air springs.
