I purchased this replacement converter from etrailer.com to convert my travel trailer from lead acid to lithium batteries. Though I'm not an electrician, it was a fairly easy install with the help of the included instructions. The unit is easily changeable from FLA to lithium, and visa versa, simply by moving a little jumper on the board. I used it on several long Rv trips during the summer of 2025 and it worked perfectly. Also, many thanks to etrailer.com for steering me toward this part, away from a different part this I was originally looking at.
Purchased this unit and it was a lifesaver. My camper was fuses and was overcharging the battery which killed two batteries. Figured the unit in my camper was bad so ordered one from here. Delivery was fast and came with detailed instructions. Took less than an hour to replace the whole unit. Plug camper in turned everything on and all is well. Will definitely come here again for any of my RV needs
Seems to be a better upgraded replacement as I went to Lithium LifePO4 batteries. Easy install except bracket didn't line uo to existing holes so I had to modify bit, nothing hard.
The PD product replaced the original Airstream (20 yrs old) Converter/charger. Install was fairly easy except the old 12 wires sizes did not fit into the new PCB clamps without a lot of force. Also, delivery was a day late even though I paid for rapid service (I live in downeast Maine - nothing comes on time). Powered up and it worked first try. Happy with PD's product!
It was an easy install. Replacing a 7155. Took pictures of where the wires go before to help with install. I had to remove it from its metal case to install it, just 4 screws in the bottom to remove it. I took a pic of the old unit to show
Our power distribution panel came on Friday just as you said it would. It is already installed and working properly. Thank you! We will shop with you again.
Perfect replacement. Now my batteries c harge!

excellent. I dont even think about it, so that must mean it is working flawless. We were on our winter 5 month trip using it every day.
The controller arrived two days after the order was placed. Packaging was excellent. Had it installed the day after it arrived. Directions were clear making the install very doable. Took about an hour and a half. The previous controller failed while we were travelling. The new one works perfectly. We can now use our small travel trailer with no worries. Progressive Dynamics produces quality products. Etrailer is very professional and effective. Highly recommend both of them.
When the charger on the original converter failed I wanted to replace it with a USA made converter. I am glad I did. The Progressive converter fit perfectly and is built much more solid. It has performed perfectly in the year we have been using it.

Im glad to hear you are so happy with this panel! Are you fixing up the RV for an upcoming trip?
Ansley J, did an outstanding job finding the proper converter I needed and placing my order. It arrived on time and it was very easy to install. I plugged in my RV and the converter started charging my lithium batteries. I highly recommend this converter and etrailer for outstanding customer service.
The converter matched up perfectly
Slipped right in and was very easy to install... definitely can't beat the price....way better than any other quote that I received

We mean business, that's for sure ;)
Product worked great, no issues. Fast and easy installation.
Lasted about 10 months. Now the fans don't come on and the thermal switch shuts down the power. Mainly use shore power to keep batteries charged, trailer has been out once.
Warning! On recent (2021 and later) models of trailers this is not a drop-in replacement. The newer WFCO 8955s are no longer installed in a metal box, they are using molded plastic boxes now. The PD4655's box does not fit where the old converter electronics go. Since I do not want to replace the entire electrical panel I'm having to remove the PD4655's electronics from the metal box and figure out some way to safely mount it inside the plastic cavity.

You are correct, the WFCO 8955 is in a molded plastic box. You will need to remove the new converter core assembly from provided enclosure, by removing (4) screws securing converter to enclosure and slide converter out. Discard the metal enclosure and screws as they are not used when replacing this model converter. Then you can replace the unit inside your original box.
Had to replace my power converter on my 06 rage’n toy hauler. It was making noise and causing interference with the stereo system so I knew it was on its way out. This converter bolted right up and fit in place. Very little had to be modified or changed to make it work. Noises are now gone and converter works flawless!
Like usual, etrailer.com did an awesome job. My items always come quicker than what they say it will. That's why I always come back.
Replaced 12 year old converter section of Parallax 7355 Power Center. Positive lead wire from PD converter to existing DC circuit board barely long enough. Had intended to use the PD DC circuit board that came with the converter, but didn't because the wiring of the Parallax board was quite different (i.e., PD board had screw-down attachment of positive circuit leads, whereas the Parallax had pigtails soldered to the board that came from a compartment in the rear of the power center (which I would have had to completely remove in order to see what was really going on)). PD's installation instructions were barely adequate (for example, installation of the new DC board was barely mentioned - and its installation instructions were included in the de-installation instructions for the Parallax converter!). The Phillip's heads on the 4 machine screws that came with the unit stripped out with just manual screwdriver effort.
Overall, though, it worked the first time I plugged in shore power, and also when I ran my generator. I will need to use it for a season to tell if it charges my new house batteries better than the old Parallax.
On the positive side, etrailer's web site was easy to use and the product came in its original, un-opened packaging in a timely fashion during the busy pre-Christmas season. I also like the amount of information etrailer provides on the products it distributes.
Fast and free delivery and good price

this power center works very well after a year. It is very quiet in all phases of operation and since I installed it, and know a bit about electronics, it is a well built product
Retailer got my AC > DC converter out for next day shipping at the very end of the day and saved my trip
The item was delivered as promised and on time. I have not yet installed it, so I cannot comment on its performance.
This is a very good product much better than the original converter

It works fantastic

Best truck and RV store on the Internet
Exact part that was needed and delivered fast! Thank you!!
Will attemptt install it today,
So far so good- installed in a 27 foot airstream. Screw holes on unit do not line up- nothing a sheet metal screw can’t fix.
